No burnaz and six Meganobz with one shoota/skorcha. add one unit of shoota boys. add ten Flash Gitz** with Pain Boy and orderly, more dakka, shootier and cybork bodies.<br /> The alternative is no Gitz, but two units of three Kanz with Grotzooka, three oilers on the Mek, nine more Lootaz<br /> <br /> I really like the idea of the Gitz, so I think that I will more than likely go with that list, althought more Lootaz never hurt anyone.<br /> <br /> **A note on the Gitz: I'm not sure i did the math right... the Painboy doesn'y have to take the upgrades sice he doesn't have the Snazzgun, right?]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Yeah sluggas get 1 more attack with the pistol but they have to run and can do anything for 2-3 rounds. While your shootas can do damage and run. If you for some reason chose sluggas you should not take any special weapon to them cause they want to run in your shooting phase.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ why not a warboss? without any other really heavy units ill have to have someone with a little more punch. as for the mek, i want him to stay alive, with the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(163);'>KFF</span> the Mek is going to get into combat at some point since he's going to be moving with the boyz to keep them in cover of the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(163);'>KFF</span>. and about the battle wagon. i like it... its got a big ol' gun for killin' stuff, might as well have some thing to shoot at masses of enemies and other tanks. the few <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(107);'>PKs</span> that i have might not cut it against tanks and what not.<br /> <br /> would it be woth it to use the sluggas as more of a cover for the shootaz? or run them on flank? also. i argue for them because i got black reach and have twenty of them. &gt;&lt;<br /> <br /> another thing, do burnaz have a place in an ork army? they seem like they could be good in numbers... a large unit of nothing but flamers anf power weapons in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span> looks pretty good. i feel like they would have to run in a wagon of some sort in order to get them to the fight faster. i would think that a unit of lootaz would work better anyway... but it was just a thought.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Blah what war band would not want have a warboss? Its unorky I tell ya! <br /> <br /> But seriously the slugga/shoota debate will rage as long as this codex is used. Me I like a mix because the slugga is still superier to the shoota in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span>. If I used shootas I would be tempted not to run. Which as most ork players I know would say is bad since most of the damge a mob will do is in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span>. That means the sooner you are mixed in the better. True shootas make a nice fire base and a fantastic objective sitting unit. But for my assault elements i want more <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span> attacks. As for special weapons I like haveing some Rockits just in case I get lucky and end up seeing the side or rear armor of a tank.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ hmm. well i do like the rokkits. i think i switch the numbers so there are two units of sluggaz and three of shootaz. since i like the rokkits, would it be benifitial to replace one big shoota in each of the units for a rokkit? then there would be not heavy weapons in the sluggaz units. that would free up points for other stuff and things, what i dont know...]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ is the grotzooka worth it? it looks decent its range is only 18". the KMB are going to guarantee more kills with an AP2 and S8 at 24". although i suppose that the Heavy 2, Blast makes up for it. would it then be wise to repace the 10 points left from the KMB-to-Grotzooka switch with Armour Plates? ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I'm going to go down your 2k list and leave your 2500 open to whatever you like to spend 500 points on.<br /> <br /> Your Warboss looks fine, just be careful that when you torch something it doesn't pull it out of assault range through model removal.  The Big Mek I'd probably leave with just the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(163);'>KFF</span>, but that's just me wanting to spend points elsewhere.  Your Mek you'll likely want to run either just behind your Killa Kanz or in the Battlewagon with your Burnas, due to his <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(163);'>KFF</span> giving vehicles that 4+ obscurity save.  In either case, his Klaw can provide even more punch to whatever ork unit he's with, I'd just be a little hesitant to throw him into combat with a small group like Burnas who might not survive for too long if singled out.<br /> <br /> Lootaz are fun, just be sure to keep them away from table edges so outflankers don't eat you.  Also beware of drop-pod flamers and Sternguard.  Keeping these guys on a back objective, then surrounding them with Shoota Boyz isn't a terrible idea, but it does mean you sacrifice a unit of Boyz to just sitting back.<br /> <br /> Your Burna Boyz are a ton of fun, nothing like dropping as many flamer templates as possible on something to rack up the wounds.  Remember that it's generally better to torch a unit if you can get a bunch of models under multiple templates, rather than save potential flames for power weapons.  Yes, each one gets three power weapon swings, but misses a Marine half the time, and fails to wound another half of the time, whereas you might be able to fit 8 Marines under that one template.  Obviously, assaulting Termies and other heavy armor things you'll want the power weapons, since their 2+ will just laugh at the wounds caused by the flamers.  Anything 4+ armor or worse, torch 'em!<br /> <br /> I'm personally a fan of Slugga Boyz, but that's also because I tend to run my Boyz in Wagons and Trukks, so they assault on turn 2, turn 3 for the stragglers.  For Shoota Boyz, though, I prefer going all-out with the Big Shootas.  A single BS2 Rokkit tends to do me less good than 3 Heavy Bolter shots, and things tend to get a cover save against the AP3 anyways.  That's all personal preference, though, some people swear by rokkits with their Boyz.<br /> <br /> Your Battlewagon concerns be a bit.  You have a Killkannon, 'ard case, red paint, deff rolla, and 4 big shootas.  If it moves more than 1", you can only fire the Killcannon.  If you move more than 7" to make use of your Deff Rolla, you can't fire at all.  Your 'ard case means your Burnas that should be in here can't assault the turn they come out if the wagon moves at all.  I'd drop the 'ard case and three big shootas, keep one in case your killcannon gets blown up so your wagon can still harass things, and make good use of your Deffrolla, they're awesome.<br /> <br /> Killa Kanz with Grotzookas are amazing.  6 S6 blast templates are great, even with only having an 18" range.  Remember, you add up all the wounds from those blasts before model removal happens, so you can really rack up the wounds.  It's also a bit cheaper so you save points overall.<br /> <br /> Your Nobz don't need 'eavy armor, they have 29 wounds in front of them.  A 4+ save on the Nob itself won't make a difference.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ okay. i edited the list again.<br /> <br /> i decided to just remove two big shootaz from the wagon. the idea of the wagon in to get the burnaz stuck in fast, take what it gets and then move back to take pop shots. in the 2500 its meant to shoot at whatever it wants and maybe move the Meganobz around (though that makes it a major target).<br /> i switched to Grotzookas on the&nbsp;Kanz and was able to fit more Kanz in with some of the other cuts.<br /> <br /> i personally like the armour on the Nobz, it just seems like a good idea, you never know, he might be the last guy left and need it. extra armour has saved me in fantasy in the past, maybe it'll work in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(3);'>40k</span> too!]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I reiterate that your Burnas will be very sad when they pile out of the wagon only to not be able to assault due to the 'ard case.  You also don't need Grot Riggers on that thing if your Big Mek is in it, he'll just fix it himself.<br /> <br /> The thing about the armor on the Nobz is that they really won't be targeted until they are the very last two wounds in the squad.  In Fantasy they can be attacked individually, not so in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(3);'>40k</span>.  Up to you, it's only 20 points out of 2000, 1% of your army isn't that big a deal.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Fire/Access points on an open-topped vehicle is the general hull of the vehicle.  Yes, that means if you moved slow enough, you could surround your Wagon with 12 flamer templates, and if you move up to 13" (with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(629);'>RPJ</span>) your Burnas can still jump out, shoot, and assault in the same turn.<br /> <br /> Don't quote me, but it might also be that you could just layer 12 flamer templates on one corner of the hull, right on top of some poor enemy unit that just got roasted... hm...  I've honestly never thought about that before now.  Might have to make room for Burnas.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ <blockquote><div><cite>plusARGON wrote:</cite>i've been reading the forums here on dakkadakka for a bit and used the info on Orks to come up with some listy lists. im new-ish to <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(3);'>40k</span>, i've played a few half asses fun games with my friends models but that's about it... i usually play fantasy with Lizardmen... so bear with me.<br /> <br /> <u>2000</u><br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span><br /> Warboss 125pts<br /> - <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(107);'>PK</span>, Shoota/Skorcha, Attack Squig, 'Eavy Armour, Cybork Body, Boss Pole<br /> - not to bad but, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(269);'>id</span> lose the eavy armor, ya got cybork yeah its only a 5+ then but still.<br /> Big Mek 145pts<br /> - <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(107);'>PK</span>, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(163);'>KFF</span>, Attack Sqig, 'Eavy Armour, Cybork Body, Oiler<br /> - lose the Klaw, squig, armor and oiler.... he is just a walking 5+ cover<br /> <br /> Elites<br /> 15 Lootaz 225pts<br /> - these guys can work but i found them to suck overall.<br /> 12 Burna Boyz 180pts<br /> - waste of points in my opinion... if you are going lootas then use these points for more lootas, or drop both your current elites choices for kommando's.  nothing makes my opponents swear more then my kommandos coming in and tying up their lines until my boyz get stuck in.<br /> <br /> Troops<br /> 30 Slugga Boyz 220pts<br /> - Nob (with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(107);'>PK</span>, Boss Pole)<br /> 30 Slugga Boyz 220pts<br /> - Nob (with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(107);'>PK</span>, Boss Pole)<br /> 30 Shoota Boys 235pts<br /> - 3 Big Shoota, Nob (with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(107);'>PK</span>, Boss Pole)<br /> 30 Shoota Boys 235pts<br /> - 3 Big Shoota, Nob (with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(107);'>PK</span>, Boss Pole)<br /> - one or the other here <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(72);'>imo</span>, if yer gonna shoot and then charge do so, if yer gonna run alot then waaaaagh and assault do so. personally i go with all slugga's.<br /> Heavy Support<br /> Battlewagon 200pts<br /> -KillKannon, Red Paint, Grot Riggers, Armour Plates, Deff Rolla, 2 Big Shoota<br /> 3 Killa Kanz 135pts<br /> - 3 Grotzooka +30pts<br /> 2 Killa Kanz 90pts<br /> - 2 Grotzooka +20pts<br /> - a single battlewagon is a huge target just itching to get peppered by all the lascannons etc that have nothing else to shoot at.  medium size weapons will make short work of the kanz.<br /> <br /> this list will get chewed apart rather quickly.  with orks if you are gonna do something do alot of it.  if you wanna run lotsa battle wagons then run 6.... if you wanna play horde then flood the board with sluggas and kommandos, if you wanna go mek then get 2 meks and a buncha dreads and kanz.]]></description>
