You can do it in a comic book style by highlighting the black with very dark blue.

As for your scheme, I'd drop the bright blue on the plasma pistol, but keep the gun red, that ok if you keep it consistent through all the bolters in the force.

As for the mint green...hold on one second (bleeeachh)

Axyl_its funny you say that because thats exactly where i stumbled upon this color scheme.
