I went with a Scab Red/Adeptus Battlegray color scheme. Unfortunately I'm just finding that I'm not happy with it after painting up one devilfish, a small squad of firewarriors, Shaos'o Rymr and a couple of pathfinders. The scab red just looks very dull once hit with the varnish.

I actually acquired a nice stockpile of midnight blue that I was going to use to start over.

I need to strip the models I already have before that, though. I've got a combination of plastic, metal, and the one resin forgeworld model, along with one battlesuit that was matt varnished. Brush restorer is effective on metals but will dissolve plastic.
