				<title>Rate my 1000 point SM list...</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ So, I don't have much practice with this.  I've played a handful of games with paper proxies, and I like the game enough to invest in my own real army.  I've definitely decided on space marines, and so far the units I have are planned for a kind of "all comers" approach.  Mostly, though, I'll be fighting necrons and tyranids, hence the emphasis on high <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(6);'>AP</span>, and lots of blast weapons.<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> choices -<br /> <br /> Space Marine Chaplain - 100<br />  -Terminator armor and storm bolter - 30 points<br /> total: 130<br /> <br /> Space Marine Chaplain - 100<br />  -Jump pack - 15 <br /> total: 115<br /> <br /> Troop Choices -<br /> <br /> 10 man tactical squad - 170<br />  -plasma gun - 10<br />  -plasma cannon - 5<br />  -seargent with power sword - 15<br /> total: 200 <br /> <br /> 10 man tactical squad - 170<br />  -flamer - free!<br />  -seargent with power fist - 25<br /> total: 195<br /> <br /> Elite choices - <br /> <br /> Terminator squad - 200 <br />  -cyclone missile launcher - 30 <br /> total: 230<br /> <br /> Fast Attack choices -<br /> <br /> Assault Squad - 100 <br />  -seargent with power fist - 25<br />  -seargent with combat shield - 5<br /> total: 130<br /> <br /> TOTAL POINTS: 1000 exactly.  Any improvements I can make on this list before I buy any units?  I may want to weasel a rhino in there somewhere...]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Two <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span>'s is a little steep for a 1000pt game. I like the termie chaplin though. <br /> <br /> <br /> You need a bit more dedicated anti armour. A <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(80);'>LC</span> or two would help. <br /> <br /> Swap the assault marines for a drop podding dred and go nasty and make it either a extra armour venerable or a beefed up ironclad (although that melta is useful for podding next to a tank to pop it, 1st turn so dont go for two flamers) <br /> <br /> Swap the jump packing <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>hq</span> for that assualt squad (or) some scouts (or) a tank.  <br /> <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Thats alot of chaplains for 1k points.<br /> I see what your trying to do with them but a chaplain in a termy squad is really only worth the points if thier the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(221);'>ss</span> and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(224);'>th</span> varients. the one in the assualt squad fits them perfectly.<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(269);'>Id</span> honestly drop him for the moment and throw in a few rhinos for your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(167);'>tac</span> squads.<br /> <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ it looks ok<br /> <br /> youre very low on scoring units, and that may harm your game. dont bother with a single rhino, it will get blown up on the first turn. your second tactical squad needs a missile launcher (also free!). im not a big fan of 2 characters at 1000pts. i would drop the terminator chappy and been up the jump-pack chappy (powerfist) and the assault squad (flamer, extra marines).<br /> <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ for a 1k point game I think hes about fine for scoring units. he can have 2 or 4 depends on what he wants to do. and if he dropped the termy chap he'd be able to afford 2 rhinos. Even 2 razorbacks if he wanted a bit more firepower with the h bolters.<br /> <br /> I do agree on the missile launcher though.<br /> <br /> ]]></description>

Its also a cheaper way of getting a fist in the assault squad. And a great way to get another fist in the squad which deals allot of hurt on the charge.  Lack of ranged weapon on a chap is something thats not even worth worring about.<br /> <br /> Im a big believer in bods on the table, drop the termie chap and beef up the assault squad.  Drop the cyclone and try to squeeze in another guy and a heavy flamer. 37 marines at 1000 points is pretty decent.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Thanks everybody.  Your help has all been put towards my new list... odd thing is though... my new list is actually now a Blood Angels list.  A lot of your comments and criticisms have lead to me doing a lot of research, and a lot of things didn't start making sense until I found the free official Blood Angels codex.  This codex is the PERFECT set for my DIY Chapter, and I'm more excited now than I've been yet to get in to this game.  I'm going to make up a new list tomorrow, and post it under a different topic to see how the new one stands up. ]]></description>
