Non-Tzeentch Daemons have trash for dispel, you ought to own the magic phase. Make sure you take advantage of this with the fiercest possible troops. That is, count on urgency going off every round.

Carrion can be HUGE, if ugency'd they get behind his line on round 1, and if they can't march nurgle daemons are going to struggle to cross the field and fight you.

Nice idea with the carrion. Shooting two catapults for a couple of extra rounds will be nice.

Re:TK vs Daemons Nurgle

If it's pure NUrgle, you'll want to win combats by lots; try getting to units without heralds (and the ubiquitous slime trail), or make sure to assassinate the heralds to take away the regenerate; 5+ ward is bad enough already for our poor skellies.

Other then that, use the magic phase ot your advantage. In this cas, you may want to tarpit the occasional nurgle unit, replenishing your skellies and keeping them occupied while you hunt down softer stuff. Also, consider a bone giant: it should do pretty wel against mostr Nurgle stuff.

2 large skeleton archer units (lets say 20 models each) to knock off ranks (shooting magic and shooting phases)

Ushabti will smash them. A unit of 4 will hold almost any nurgle unit up indefinitely and hemmer it down it the process thanks to their high strength (The problem for the rest of your army)

Carrion as suggested to flap around, slowing them down.

TK vs Daemons Nurgle

First game I played Daemons, then dwarfs, followed by Chaos. I basically just out mobilized all three opponents and between refused flank and picking my battles 2 of the 3 were massacres. Dwarfs gave me the hardest time but in hindsight they really didn't because the big block with his heros failed a Terror test against the bone giant and because we didn't have a rule book treated it like fear. He would have run off the board in hindsight.
