Rhino / Razorback Hatch... Looking for Ideas...

Alright... I was a little bored last night... so I assembled a Rhino/Razorback. I'm going to leave the top interchangeable... so I can use it as both a Rhino and a Razorback. However... the rear hatch is quite satisfied with not staying up. I want to leave it where I can open and close it... but it needs some help.

I'd just like to know how others achieve this. I figure there are a few alternatives. I could put some magnets in place... drill into the door for one... and then either a metal strip or another magnet on the inside.

Or... I could line the top with a very thin piece of rubber that would hold the door together.

A third option would be to use some green stuff to make some sort of little nub to hold the door in when closed.

What has everybody here done that seems to work the best?

That's odd mine held up fine. I'd say a bit of wading like the rubber you suggested would be the easiest way no need to bother with magnets although if a snap shut effect is what you want then yeh, magnets.

I used two small magnets in a corner to hold it up, and just used a little GS to hold the on to the interior of the hull.

Or some rubber cement to gum up the hinge or make the top sticky.

Rhino / Razorback Hatch... Looking for Ideas...

what I did was glue two long pieces of sprue to the underside of the hatch opening and then glued magnets to the top of the sprue. Then I glued magnets to the underside of the rhino/razor hatch to line up (make sure you get your polarity right).

Works well but it means you can't really paint the inside of the rhino (which I don't care about).

Ozymandias, King of Kings
