Hello every one, I just almost finished my army building but getting confused with it... :S

Anyway here is the list:

HQ:
Daemon Prince w/ wings, MoS, LoS-155pts
Daemon Prince w/ wings, MoS, LoS-155pts

Elite:
Chaos Terminators×5, MoN, Heavy Flamer, Chain Fist×1, Combi Plasma×3, Champion w/Pair of lighting claws-245pts

Troops:
Noise Marine×10, Sonic Blaster×9, Champion w/DoomSiren, Power Weapon, Melta Bomb-300pts
Khorne Berzerker×9, Champion w/Power Fist, Melta Bomb, Personal Icon-239pts.
Well, NM are fluffier than PM when the army is led by DPs with the MoS.
However, I'd give the Berzerkers the Landraider while the NM would get the Berzerkers' Rhino.

2000pts Mixture Chaos Army seeking help

HQ: Two lash princes are nto bad, but you generall ysee them more when you want to shoot the enemy dead. IMO one lash prince is fine for an assault army, and the other one shoudl be a tzeenth warptime prince(possibly with wind of chaos as well, espescially against orks though) or a nurgle prince with the usual fixins(I don't use nugle so I can't say what they are off the top of my head but I know people use him). DP's are your prime MEQ killers and one geared for combat is bettr in my thinking. Two lashes still work though, and can really let you dictate when and where your fights will be, and are usful for pushing units you don't want to deal with away from you .. can you say THaSSh Terminators?

Elite:
With no other nurlge units, the MON seems out of place. It is also mondo expensive for a 5 man unit. I would suggest that their primary purpose is shooting with assault as a backup. To that purpose I think you should equip them : Champ with chainfist and combi plas, 3 with combi plas, one with heavy flamer. I would avoid marks entirely, or only go with IoCG in a pinch. This keeps the points down and sets a clear purpose for the unit.

Troops:

Rhinos don't really need extra armor. It is expensive, and only rarly gets used. I personally don't like 5 man squads that cost 160 points unless they are terminators. I find they don't do very much and die rather easily. I would beef both up to 8, or replace them with more like the full NM or Zerker squads.

Heavy:
Defiler: Just not that much of a threat in close combat. A simple fist stops them good, and even eldar warlocks wreck them in CC with witchblades. I would suggest using these points for more troops(NM or Zerkers). Defilers in my experince only work well when you take 2 or three of them and they are still iffy and compete with the Vindicators.
Aggree with Wuestenfux suggsetion to put the zerkers in the raider as well. This also lets you icon the termies in anywhere around the raider if they are still inside when the terms show up in reserve. Same goes for Oblits if they are DSing in.

I run an army very similar to yours(with the kinds of changes I suggested) and it is very effective against MEQ armies. It does struggle more against mobile shooty armies like Eldar and Dark eldar, (and used to struggle against 4th edition Tau, but not much anymore in 5th). you have to play agressivly with it and eliminate the threats that can hurt you the most early on. Marines die easily enough to certain weapons and units and winning with a list like this is determined by controlling who fights when and where. I try as often as possible to use two to three of my untis against every one of theirs(other assault armies, or MEQ's). Assaults that you don't win decisivly tend to put a big dent in yoru plans.

Good luck!

Meph

2000pts Mixture Chaos Army seeking help

I'm very grateful to you for your help, brothers.
Some of my supposition were fully confirmed, hehe, especially about the defiler, poor 12.

Ok here is what I were thinking about it:

HQ:
Double lash Prince, we can say that is a waste of your execution some time, because the target you want to pull/push might not be the same one you wish to assault on. But in most case, your DP should be locked in combat, so if you got tow, then you have more room to chose your target. And the 4+ISV and reroll make the DP truly a Temi/MEQ killing machine, I couldn't agree more with that. But I will not give him two power cause it'll cost me too much to offer...And a Nurgle Mark is also a perfect selection for Warptime.
I will try it out as soon as I got the nurgle prince model.

Elite:
I will insist on the waepons I selected for them, hehe, although yours are also great.

But about those mark, I think: MoT makes the Temi much tougher cause of the 4+isv against power weapon, like what the MoN has done to them in most case. And the MoS can make Temi effective MEQ/Temi hunter cause of the I5.
Chaos Glory is cool too, but please try the others if possible, hehe.

Troops:

Yes the Rhino always perform like a cola-can but extra armor may makes them move another 12", that's a big advantage sometime.

Yes I also worried about these small squad deeply, I hope they can gain their cost back before they be knock off. I will surely try a list like: a doom siren NM squad(no sonic blasters), a PF berzerker squad and 2 plague marine squads out on the table ASAP.

Heavy:
Defilers are weak for sure, I will exchange it to Vindicator after some combat, maybe. The only reason I chose it is that I think we should bring on two Vindicators or not at all, and in that case there is no space for my Obliterators...Ridiculous one, I know

And I will put my zerkers in Landraider, because in my improved (Again, grateful to all your help)list, the noise marines will not be the core anymore, but I will not give some all-Nurgle army either, will keep going with a heavy Slaanesh army, hehe.

2000pts Mixture Chaos Army seeking help

Two lashes are good. Just try a warptime prince to see the awesome effect some time. You will be impressed. Don't combine them though. Have a lash prince of Slaanesh, and a waprtime prince of tzeentch. Always winged all the time too.

Elites: MOS is great on a 5 man dual lighting claw term squad, and is the cheapest of the upgrades. The other marks are as expensive as antother whole terminator. In most cases you will get better milage from another model than one increase in T or invul save. Unless you know you are going up against units that hose terms (fire dragons, ap 1 and 2 blast etc) that is. Sometimes the increased save is indeed better at saving more models in certain situations.

Troops:
The extra armor only effects one of six results from the damage chart. On a glance it effects a roll of 4, and on a pen it effects a roll of 2. Either way the unit can still deploy, move, shoot, and assualt with the passengers if need be, even if the transport is sitting there stunned. Transports with low armor should only be a 1st turn ride. Once delivered if the transport stays alive long enough for late game objective grabbing thats great, but secondary. When I play this army and get the regualr 12" deployment, my entire army is in the opponents deployment zone on turn 2. That is how an assault army works well, I overwhelm them right from the start. Drive a unti inside a rhino 12" forward on yoru first turn. Pop Smoke. 2nd turn, deploy 2", move 6", shoot with assault weapons, assault 6". You are now engaging the enemy with everything you have(picking the fights to take out the most of their army at once, or the most threatening units to you early on). I have had opponents concede the game on thier turn 2 because this tactic is so effective if they do not see it coming. Fortunatly, a little smart deploying on their part can minimize the total shock and awe of the approach, but my army built like yours rarely lets me down.

Do keep the slaanesh theme. I do. Noise marines are awesome assualt troops. A squad of 10 with SB(and DS/PF champ) can output: 19 shots, 27 st4 attacks at I5, and 3 PF attacks at I1(or 4 PW I5 attacks if you go PW route). 49-50 attacks in one assault turn. That doesnt even count the doom siren and its situational but awesome goodness. They also do the best after the initial assualt turn as they can still and throw out 27 shots at up to 24" or move towards objectives/the next fight and still pop out 18 shots at up to 24".

Just be wary about the small squads. It's very easy to kill off 5 marines when they have a decent threat liek a doom siren or a blast master(and blast masters are way too expensive IMO).

I never use plague marines(though they are great in the role they do play in other lists) as I find that my core of NM and Zerkers does so much damage the first two turns that I don't need the resiliancy of the PM's.

If you can change out terms sometime in the future, 5 man dual lighting claw term squad, wih a champ with Chainfist and combimelta is awesome too.

Even though I or others may suggest the things hat work for us, remember that what is most important is to play with a list that is fun for you. Good luck!

Meph
