				<title>1500 pts Ultramarines, need advice on heavy support</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Im new to <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(3);'>40k</span>, have been playing for only 2 months. I have been putting together a little force. This is what I got so far:<br /> <br /> Chapter Master (for orbital bombardment)<br /> -Relic Blade<br /> -Artificer Armour<br /> -combi-plasma<br /> <br /> Chaplain<br /> -Jump pack<br /> <br /> Troops:<br /> <br /> 2 Tactical Marine squads (2 Rhinos)<br /> -Missile Launchers & Flamers<br /> <br /> Scout Squad (5 models), used to teleport terminators<br /> -heavy bolter and shotguns<br /> -Teleport homer<br /> <br /> <br /> Elites:<br /> <br /> Terminators (5 models)<br /> Dreadnought <br /> -Multi-Melta<br /> <br /> Fast Attack<br /> <br /> Assault Marines(5 models) (used with chaplain)<br /> -Seargent with powerfist and storm shield<br /> <br /> Total: 1250<br /> <br /> Scouts (5 models) with sniper rifles<br /> Lascannon Predator<br /> <br /> That leaves enough points for either a Land Raider or 2 Vindicators (Of course im open to any other ideas). Anyone have suggestion for my list <img src="/s/i/a/8f7b3f87df347f2cf6c1e7d5e119a067.gif" border="0"> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I have a similar list but i dont bother with the chapter master Orbital strikes never seem accurate enough. I run 2 squads of scouts and one <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(167);'>Tac</span> as my troops in my 1500 point list <br /> <br /> Termies need and assult cannon Though (or cyclone for anti-tank)<br /> And add some sniper scouts (snipers have saved my bottom more than a few times).<br /> I also run a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(126);'>TL</span> assult cannon razorback.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Taking out the Orbital Bombardment and combi-plasma would free up enough points for a cyclone launcher. <br /> <br /> I like the idea of a Lascannon Predator and a sniper squad.<br /> <br /> Changes to the list:<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> Chapter Captain<br /> -Relic Blade<br /> -Artificer Armour<br /> <br /> Sniper Squad with camo cloaks<br /> <br /> And a Lascannon Predator. <img src="/s/i/a/a693afb30d32f794373740e527aff832.gif" border="0"> <br /> <br /> Thx for the advice and let me know what you think. ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I would think about more troops before Heavy Support. I like to have at least 4 Troops slots occupied at 1500+ points. (Note I say SLOTS and not units. With that min. size scout squad, another 10 man <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(167);'>tac</span> squad would net you up to 7 scoring units if you combat squad them.) Everything else in your list is very nice, but it's your troops selections that will win you games. ]]></description>

But that would cost me another 205 points (including rhino), leaving me still with a lack of fire power (unless anyone has an idea for the rest of my list). 				<description><![CDATA[ In general one <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span> is a good way to lose 250 in the first couple of turns. Common wisdom is to take 2 at minimum to force your opponent to either split his fire between them, or concentrate on one while the other does whatever it is you want it to do. <br /> <br /> Personally I've always felt the same about Terminators: 2 Squads or none. <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(274);'>YMMV</span>. <br /> <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I think the days of static shooty armies is over. While I loved my <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(29);'>Devs</span> I wouldn't use them anymore. The problem with predators is that they do not have any defensive weapons to speak of. I would use points for <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(57);'>HS</span> elsewhere in the army.<br /> <br /> G]]></description>
