List change suggestions and/or tactics to use would be appreicated.

Avatar - 155

Troops:
10man guardains
+Eldar missile launcher
+Warlock = 125 (Babysits the wraithlord)

10man guardains
+Eldar missile launcher = 100 (The EMLs frag will be used as much as poss, to make up for bs3. Ill hit somthing, Yes that may be nothing but still)

10man guardains
+Eldar missile launcher = 100 (Avatar babysits all of the above)

5man Pathfinder rangers = 120 (These guys are just brillaintly effecient)

Elites:
5man harlequins
+Death jester
+Shadow seer
+3 harlequins kissies = 142 (Mr. Ra joins up with these kids)

Fast attack:
8man warp spyders
+exarch
+Spinnerett rifle = 193

Heavy support:

Fire prism = 115

Fire prism = 115

Wraithlord
+Eldar missile launcher
+Scatter laser = 135

= 1499

It was unintended but every unit bar the prisms and the avatar have pinning in one way or another. This, I feel, can only be good.

In closecombat (where Ra is good, reapers arent) the rending harlies can compliement him well)

Alternatively if you want to boost your CC abilities, ditch Ra for a full unit of Scorpions, as they will provide alot more attacks in CC overall and alot more wounds etc for scoring, not to mention act as a boost to your Harlies and a shield to your guardians. Thus you have a few choices:

Long range support fire - 3x War Walkers w/ EML & Scatter Lasers (exactly 195 pts) OR
Long range + CC support - Wraithlord w/ EML, Wraith Sword, 2x Flamers (pts to spare) OR
Enhanced CC Ability - 10x Scorpions inc Exarch w/ Stalker & Scorpions Claw (twin chain sabres are also very nice btw)

Just a few examples there, but you can see where I'm coming from

Mr. Ra is the least close-combat orienatate phoenix lord.. he still rocks at it.. but he is dedicated to range.

A str 6, ap 5, assault 4, pinning, rending 36" ranged weapon with the crack shot & fast shot exarch powers at his command make it more than a little lethal. BS7 too.

Which it can do, pretty well. Itll survive with VoT and put out those shots and also if I do decide to charge them in, with the phoenix lords support, they will decimate units.

For 350pts I dont think I could such a versitile combo. i would also buy the Farseer and use his abilities to agument more than one unit.

If you want a bit more Dakka, id advise almost anything bar Vypers in your list at this point, they have the extra movement, but you're not going to want to move them too far forward from your force and for their cost, a little steep... I do like Wuest's idea of boosting your harlie squad some more, or as stated before throw down some scorps... if your enemy hs flamers, harlies are fried, whereas Scorps (esp with a Fortune Seer close by) will laugh it off and slap the twit that fired on you upside the head with a chain-sword. Ahhhh good times. Other than that, not a bad list, reminds me of Ulthwe in a sense from early 3rd Ed... shame we dont have the Craftworld book in effect though... those guardians would be a little nastier for starters! Not sure for this style of army im convinced Ra is the best option, as a rule of thumb I don't use Phoenix Lords in anything 1500 and under. It can and probably will cause just the one wound, so somone takes a pinning test.

Dual spinners will never ever cause a pinning test. Pinning good, with the rest of the army in mind. On its own, compared to the three extra shots it doesnt look so good.

No farseer. He was lost to the warp. He tried his autach generals warp spyder jump pack on and dissappeared, Im going for a Khaine and Cegorach -Can some1 give me the pronunciation of that ?

Ahh I want somthing shooty. Id run away from templates.. shooting at said flamer wielding chums all the while (you never know, Mr.Ra could pin them..!) Its a counter-assault unit that has a day-job at shooting.

Or is it a shooting unit with a day-job at counter-assault?

Sorry to waffle on about not having the spare HS slots.. It could quite easily swap around the Wraithlord for a few (or a few more if I make points up else-where) war-walkers who'd essentail fill the same roll, albiet it walking behind one of the guardain squads, instead of upfront next to the (but not close enough for plasma pies) avatar. Its somthing to look into, toughness wise AV10 = t8 comparitively, Although tau rifles will ping off my 3+ armor save (but the War-walked should get a cover save from the guardains etc etc)

Shooty shooty.. umm.. I cant think of anything that can do mr.Ra & the harlies job aswell for the points. Vypers? No. Okay, good.

Swooping hawks? Ahaha.. no.

2x - 6 jetbikers + 2xshuri cats + warlock + random useful power = roughly the same point-wise buuuut no. Wrong theme

3x -10man guardain squads + decent weapon + conceal warlock (have front cover behind) but I just dont like guardains That much.

Or/and a mix of dire-avengers.. but im just under-whelmed with them foot-slogging. Seperented their a great combo.. alone, Id prefer guardains, Plus they make better use of this fearless bubble. I am quite happy to keep that list as it is but im up for suggestion.
