X is equal to the number of functioning Doom Mortars at the time the attack is made. Note that the Doom Mortars may not fire individually; they must all fire as part of a single Apoc Barrage.

Here's a few questions;

Is the Apoc Barrage the 4-5" combined template.

Does that mean all 4 of those will stack on top of each other or will they drift according to 4 separate rolls. So that would mean that a squad could get pounded into lunch meat from being pounded by 4 overlapping templates.

I'm planning one so any help understanding the rules would be appreciated

To Expand on how the "Clover Leaf" works:

You place the center hole over the intended original target.

You then roll however many dice the Barrage is(in this case X, which is 4 or less depending on how many Mortars are left).

Whichever number each die rolls is which "leaf" template is used for each shot or the center for rolls of 5 and 6.
