Hardly any troops (= bad, I know) Can be scaled up to 1750/1850 more realistically. <br /> <br /> I posted a similar list w/o vulkan but with mostly ironclads instead. Im not sure but besides the 5-less scouts, I think this list is <i>killyer</i><br /> <br /> What do yee think - im now torn. <br /> <br /> Conversion beamer OR 2 h.flamers = 5 cloaks & 5pts spare. Coupled with Bolster the defences = a 2+ cover save for the scouts (i think) which makes them very survivable. A scout squad with a conversion beamering <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(384);'>MotF</span> is also a nice (albeit no infiltrating/scoutness) thought. <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Vulkan makes those drop-podding dreads hit hard on the first turn, where ever it be infantry or tanks.<br /> <br /> Hes worth a 10man <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(167);'>tac</span> squad. I could also shave off 60pts for the flamers (But well worth it, esp with vulkan)<br /> <br /> Besides from that, with a 6 dred army, with 7 drop pods (to allow 4 in the drop pod assault) there isnt much left in 1500pts. <br /> <br /> Hes also quite choppy, 2+/3++, I5, 3A etc.. <br /> <br /> & I can maaybe stretch the fluff to say somthing along the lines of these dreds are his treasure hunting team. ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Two squads of 10 that can deploy in relation to the field, usually in the second wave assualt (unless I wanted more templates early on) so they wont get charged if I can help it. Vulkan <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(126);'>TL</span>'s the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(330);'>MM</span> & the two flamers (granted ones one-use) <br /> <br /> Does a template-firing model ignore hits on its own unit?<br /> <br /> Telion is a good call & effective @ what he does but would be better with more scouts & the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(384);'>MotF</span> bolster defence. 2+ cover save cant be sniffed at. As it standards if I used scouts, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(269);'>id</span> get less effect from Vulkan. Plus I need those drop pods to allow for 2 to drop 1st turn & to give the marines mobility & delayed surviveability. <br /> <br /> I got more troops like you suggested tho so thanks!]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Chaplin costs 90 points less, is a tad fail in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span> due to I4 & lack of any decent saves. 2+/3++ &gt; 3+/4++ any day.<br /> <br /> The chappy <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(93);'>MC</span>'s all the termies attacks. He makes them fearless. <br /> <br /> Vulkan <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(93);'>MC</span>'s all thier thunder-hammers (same thing) and for 90pts more gets better save, better stat line (crucially where it counts) & <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(126);'>TL</span>'s 11 different weapons (2 are combi but yeah) & as it stands my lastest list has more troops than yours methinks.. although in higher points <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(269);'>id</span> upgrade to another tacticle (which may go for combi melta/melta/multimelta for a bit more <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(6);'>ap</span> 1/<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(482);'>AT</span> weaponary)..Telion is good but tacticals & vulkans I think are more effective. ]]></description>
