ork vision?

Hey, don't normally post in this forum, but tonight I was painting my orks, painting their eyes specifically, and got to thinking about them.
Does anyone know if there's been any fluff about how an ork sees?
I know the theroy of them being near sighted has been mentioned before but is this canon or just fan surmised theroy?
I was wondering if they might be color blind or see in a different spectrum than humans.
It might explain why they have a proclivity for common colors amongst orks ie. red, white, black, yellow.
The reason I think this is, it seems that their eyes are just solid red, that's how everyone paints them, that's how the GW art makes them look, so they might not have a pupil and such as we're used to.
Maybe they see red better than us, or more hues of red?
What is their nightvision like?

I know this brings dorkiness to a whole new level, but when your painting hundreds of orks, your mind tends to wander.

Anyway if anyone knows the answer to any of these questions i'd be interested to know.

ork vision?

Uhm.. no idea on most things, but i'd assume they are not colour blind at all, since they use many different colors (red, yellow, blue) for warpaint, clan "heraldry" and similar things.

Red seems to be an almost religious color to most Orks. Red vehicles actually go faster, red is the color of blood etc.

I don't think they are near-sighted either. The lack of shooting accuracy doesnt really comes from lack of seeing. Most Orks consider shooting a necessary evil on the way up close and personal with the enemy, and noise, looks and morale boosting auto-fire are far cooler than actually hitting anything

ork vision?

I've never heard anything about orks having vision different from humans.

Blue, red, yellow, black, white; pretty much every color is used by the orks. Green maybe less than others, but their skin is green, so that would probably look weird for clothes.

I don't know that they're near-sighted, they just don't put a lot of emphasis in aiming, and their guns probably have too much recoil to aim well anyway.

I vaguely remember orks having better night vision than humans (not a difficult feat), and that might have something to do with glowing eyes (glowing eyes tend to be a sign of night vision, even if it's reflective eyes that grant it in real life).

But really they have the same eyes as grots, and grots shoot better by a long shot. Really I think they cant hit anything because they are running and gunning, the guns have MASSIVE recoil and they practice head bashing instead of firearm training.
IMO they see the same as humans as far as colors and the like goes. I too have heard somewhere that they can see better in the dark then humans. cat eyes kindda thing.

To an Ork, it's not about sight, if it kills it's shooty. The shootier the better. Range and accuracy figure little into this equation. Gretchen shoot better probably because they get prodded or worse if the aren't killy enough and/or they figured out they live longer when they actually aim and kill(since they're relatively fearful compared to Orks, whom just want to fight).

I would even go so far as to say the average Ork boy blames the weediness and cunnin' of others when the Ork misses. It can't be the design, in their opinion because the average Slugga and Shoota is pretty killy already. It's all about perspective. Just my thoughts on it.
