Canadians, where do you get material such as plasticard for conversions/scratchbuilding?

I buy it at my Friendly Local Rogue Trader. If you're in Calgary the place is Sentry Box, otherwise I don't know. It is in fact called plasticard here, and it comes in a variety pack with loads.

You can buy it here, if you're down with web ordering:

________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Canadians, where do you get material such as plasticard for conversions/scratchbuilding?

'Rogue Trader' is just a store that sell GW stuff.

But many hobby shops carry Plasticard and not GW.

Go to any model train store, they will likely carry a big rack of plasticard.

It comes in plastic bags with 1-2 6"x9" (approx) sheets inside, and can be bought in varying thicknesses. Also you can buy plasticard rods, tubes, square rods, textured plasticard, etc...

Any hobby shot I've seen here in Canada that's worth their salt has a rack for this stuff. The bags are clear with a white and green label on top.

Living in Vancouver, I buy a lot of my non-GW stuff from Central Hobbies. They're a reasonably well stocked scale model train store, which gives my imagination a field day as far as terrain goes.

Funny you should mention Sentry Box, my brother worked there for a few years when he lived in Calgary, probably in the '04-'05 vicinity.

Chinook Hobbies off of Macleod Trail will almost certainly carry it as well, now that I think of it.

Anyway, Sentry Box is on 18th St between 9th and 10th avenues S.W., if I recall correctly, which I do. It's sort of in a back area near the tracks, which is probably why they can afford to have such a big store.
