looking for insight on chaos daemon list nurgle/khorne

hola, thanks for taking time to look at this list!

Ku'gath 300

Epidemius 110

herald of khorne w/ chariot deathstrike unholy might ironhide 130

19 bloodletters icon 329

10 plaguebearers icon 175

10 plaguebearers 150

10 plaguebearers 150

8 nurglings 104

2x daemon prince nurgle iron hide daemonic gaze cof aod nox touch 195 ea.

soulgrinder phlegm 160

Force 1 - kugath, epidemius, bloodletters, non-icon plaguebearers, 1 daemon prince
Force 2 - Herald of khorne, icon plaguebearers, plaguebearers, nurglings, daemon prince, soulgrinder

I originally played a full nurgle list but found that I only had a couple daemon princes and kugath to hit hard early and if for some reason they got stopped from scoring tally points then games turned into them trying to slaughter as many pb's as possible. I introduced khorne into the list to give them something to target instead of my nurgle killpoint units. So generally theyll need to take care of both at the same time to chafe my proverbial willy. Also I decided to take demonic gaze with the daemon princes so they can fire it off when they land first turn before the opponent has had time to move into cover. Seemed more reliable than trying to position myself to use the breath of chaos template since I didn't take wings. Any kind of constructive criticism and insight is appreciated. Thanks!!

drop the gaze & get Breath of choas.

Gaze could be useful if used with master of sorc & maybe we are legion when you can also let a bolt fly on a proper tzeentch dudey, not on its own.

As you have only one ranged anti-tank (the grinder) it would be useful to have those two templates with the chance of 4+ glancing a vehicle if need be.. otherwise anti-cover saving templates to be followed through with princes that have assault grenades, sounds good doesnt it!

Add an instrument & noxious touch to whichever squad the tallyman goes into (unless you drop him on his own miles away) to mess with wound allocation.

If you're going to take Epidemus, there's no reason to take anything but Nurgle units. Soul grinders are the one possible exception (as even GUO's can have problems with Land Raiders) but in general, your whole plan is about getting the tally up ASAP and then taking advantage of your 2+ to wound power weapons.

Centurian is right. Take only nurgle units or your cutting yourself short.

I have playtested almost every varient or the nurgle list using Epi and have come to the conclusion that you NEED tank busting. I take this in the form of 2 soulgrinders with both tongue and phlem. The 2 problems Nurgle has are horde and armor lists. Horde because of thier low Init they will take to much dmg before they get to strike. And armor because ... well ... all demons have trouble with armor unless they take soul grinders or Tz units.
