				<description><![CDATA[ Ok so a player at my local <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(50);'>gw</span> wants me to field the most savage C:<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(119);'>SM</span> army I can against his 1500pts 'tournement list' also from C:<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(119);'>SM</span>. his list consists of:<br /> <br /> 10 assault marines W/Jump pack, 2 plasma pistols<br /> Chaplain w/Jump pack<br /> 10 man tactical plus <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(328);'>ML</span> and plasma gun, power fist<br /> 5 scouts with telion<br /> 10 Devestators w/4 Heavy plasma guns, power weapon<br /> 10 man Tactical, same as above<br /> 1 Land raider.<br /> <br /> To give this a good ol fashion battering i was considering the following<br /> <br /> Pedro Kantor<br /> 10 sterngaurd, power weapon, 2 combi meltas, melta bombs, Drop pod with deathwind<br /> 10 sterngaurd, power fist, combi melta, Drop pod with Deathwind<br /> 9 sterngaurd, meltagun, power weapon, melta bombs, Drop pod<br /> 2 units of 5 scouts<br /> 2 assault squads (5 man) with melta bombs and drop pods<br /> <br /> so what do you think?<br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Well, if you have a full codex available to you, it is worthwhile customising it to the army you are facing...<br /> <br /> If you wanted to be mean:<br /> <br /> Space marine chapter master + Power fist<br /> <br /> 5 Assault Terms with thunder hammer + <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(221);'>SS</span> with Land Raider<br /> <br /> 5 Scout marines<br /> 5 Scout marines<br /> <br /> Land Raider<br /> Land Raider<br /> Land Raider<br /> <br /> Comes in at 1500 points.<br /> <br /> Chapter master goes with termies in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span><br /> <br /> Scouts go with a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span> each, with one spare to contest and in case one gets blown away.<br /> <br /> Start off the game with chapter master outside of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span>, call down orbital bombardment on the one of the tactical squads.<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(328);'>ML</span> and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(105);'>PF</span> are the only things in the army that have any chance of damaging the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LRs</span> after his <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span> is gone.<br /> <br /> Target his <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span> turn one with as many twin linked lascannon shots as required (you have up to 8 in total, so the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span> should be gone after your first round).<br /> <br /> Then you can watch him cry!<br /> <br /> ;-)]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Actually, on second thought, if you have all the models, I quite like your first list too.<br /> <br /> Dropping the two units with Meltabombs close to the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span> (especially if he keeps his troops separate) and dropping other units to intervene assaults should allow you to destroy the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span> quickly.<br /> <br /> So turn 1 - drop in one assault squad with bombs next to <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span>, then drop the two 10 man units close by to stop any charges. You can then fire with the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(330);'>MMs</span> on the first turn or shoot up his troops with them.<br /> <br /> The remaining two <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(262);'>DPs</span> will come in from reserve. Drop Cantor with one of the 5 man units - he can always exit from them to join someone else if he wants to.<br /> <br /> 2 vindicators would also be cool.]]></description>

With model spacing, scatter and cover saves the most youll ever lose is two or 3.<br /> <br /> It is still worth taking them though, because if that is the list hes bringing then he has far to little anti-tank. Take as many vehicles as you can. Razorback and vindicators will give you a solid firebase that he cant get rid of easily. It will also give you some more mobility because as soon as your pods come in your army is completely static.]]></description>
