				<title>2k Eldar Tournament List, choices choices...</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Howdy all,<br /> <br /> I've been playing in an excalation league for the past month or two, and last week was the first 2k point game. I played the first list, and I completely smashed the poor orks I was playing against. Anyway, this week is a new scenario. It's still 2k points, but now it's going to be objective-based instead of kill points. There will be 5 objectives, 1 in the center of each table quarter and one in the center of the board. The objective in the center of the board will give +1 to hit in shooting and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(58);'>HtH</span>, all others will be +1 to <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(82);'>LD</span>.<br /> <br /> As you'll soon see, it's a reserves mech list, and plays accordingly.<br /> <br /> There is no comp scoring, it's all about W/L/D.<br /> <br /> Anyway, here's my basic list:<br /> Yriel<br /> Eldrad<br /> Warlocks x10, 2 Enh, 2 Emb, 4 Dest, 2 Naked<br /> -Wave Serpent, TLBL, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(221);'>SS</span>, SE, VE<br /> <br /> Stormies x10, 2 FG, Warlock with Dest<br /> -Wave Serpent, TLBL, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(221);'>SS</span><br /> Stormies x10, 2 FG, Warlock with Dest<br /> -Wave Serpent, TLBL, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(221);'>SS</span><br /> Avengers x5<br /> <br /> Fire Prism, Holo, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(221);'>SS</span><br /> Fire Prism, Holo, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(221);'>SS</span><br /> Falcon, Holo, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(221);'>SS</span>, VE, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(461);'>EML</span><br /> <br /> <br /> Now, aside from general list critique, here are the specific questions I have for you all:<br /> <br /> 1) I like the TLBL's, all 3 of them, but that's 135 points right there. Think I should drop down to something else, even though it's a huge part of my ranged-antit-armor?<br /> <br /> 2) Is the Warlock Squad Of Doom, Death and Destruction the best choice here? I could get a unit of outflanking Scorpions and a unit of Banshees in a Serpent for the same price. I used this list last game, but it was so 1-sided that the warlocks never even disembarked...<br /> <br /> 3) Since there are 5 objectives, I was thinking of dropping the 2 naked warlocks and the VE from the falcon and getting 3x <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(654);'>GJBs</span> for another scoring unit, thoughts?<br /> <br /> 4) I'm also thinking about switching out the VE's for SE's on the Falcon, thoughts?<br /> <br /> <br /> Thanks for your time all.]]></description>

How are you planning to use his many psychic abilities? <br /> <br /> If your running 10-witchblades on those warlocks then high-power anti-tank shouldnt be a problem. If you wanan make more use of your serpents weapons.. shuriken cannons + <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(126);'>TL</span>-<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(461);'>EML</span> could provide more firepower for the points. <br /> <br /> Falcon and vectored engines? Do you plan to have it fast-moving all over the place? Surely that wargear would better suit the warlock serpent (along with some Star engines) for added mobility. Aha.. You have both already. Okay, cool. <br /> <br /> The troops look a little under-nourished. You will have to work to keep them alive. ]]></description>

I can drop Yriel off by himself to wrath bomb a sqaud, or keep him along for some hitting power. 				<description><![CDATA[ Yriel, eldrad and a full 10 warlock team is overkill. Drop yriel for more troops (you just dont need him and his very killable) and drop eldrad for a standard farseer. Your only really gonna need fortune (doom with weapons wounding on 2's, unless your want to improve the stormies template killing potentail) which saves you 155pts from yriel and another 140ish  pts from the downgraded farseer.<br /> <br /> Use the points to upgrade the two nacked locks with destructors. Add in a spirit seer for a touch more cheaply afforded would allocation. <br /> <br /> If you really feel you'll need power-weapons with that many attacks hitting on 3's, striking first & wounding on 2's against <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(95);'>MEQ</span>'s.. But I feel you can easily spend those points to do more damage elsewhere.<br /> <br /> With the current sceme.. downgrade one serpent to an <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(461);'>EML</span> & give it a shuriken cannon too (the stormie one) and get another stormie+wave serpent combo (with an <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(461);'>EML</span>+shuriken cannon) with the points saved from your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> selections.<br /> <br /> Granted eldrad can give a nice punch to some un-fleetable striking scorpains or yriel can give some extra wham to banshees or harlequins but warlocks are self-sufficient enough with bikes/serpents to warrant a plain fortune (and possibly doom/mindwar) farseer.]]></description>

Eldrad even more expensive with really a tiny amount of attacks gets instant deathed by a powerfist.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ That's true, he could be instagibbed by a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(123);'>str</span>. 6 weapon,  or a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(123);'>str</span> 10 battlecannon... Given the choice, if he's with the Warlock squad, I'd just put insta-gib possible wounds on the warlocks, there are plenty to go around. Also, one can't forget his Eye of Wrath ability. It's So good.<br /> <br /> Eldrad is there for his 3 psychic powers a turn. Fortune the seer council, maybe fortune another unit, or just mindwar, or doom a squad if the stormies want to mix it up.<br /> <br /> We shall see, I'll probably put together a list with a generic autarch and fortune-seer and see what other goodies I can fit in instead of the named characters.]]></description>
