				<description><![CDATA[ On Saturday, I'll participate in a monthly <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(238);'>RTT</span>.<br /> <br /> Librarian w/ terminator armor, storm shield, nullzone, gate - 140 <br /> 10 Terminators w/ cyclone x2 - 460 <br /> 10 Assault Terminators w/ thunder hammer x10 - 400 <br /> 10 Tactical Marines w/ missile launcher, plasma gun - 180<br /> 10  Scouts w/ sniper rifle x10 - 140 <br /> 2 Attack Bikes (squadron) w/ heavy bolter x2 - 80<br /> Thundercannon - 100 <br /> <br /> Well, I won the last <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(238);'>RTT</span> a month ago (see the battle report here at Dakka).<br /> That list contained a 2nd Tactical instead of Attack Bikes and Thundercannon. <img src="/s/i/a/baf5f2e54c6b17d5c5d39aecadfa1272.gif" border="0"><br /> <br /> Thoughts?]]></description>

				<title>Space Marines - 1500 Pts - RTT</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Only 2 scoring units (4 if you <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(732);'>CS</span>), but it's hard to argue with 20 Terminators.  I'd swap the Thunderfire for a Whirlwind.  Other than that, it looks scary.  Let us know how you do.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Hmm i dont think its bad at all however i do think it could yse some more tactical squads maybe take out those assualt terminators they never seemed worth it to me. I personally like an army with lots o' core i actually do Space Wolves wich does include a lot of infantry so i think thats where you should go.]]></description>

They cost a lot of points for 2 Cyclone Missile Launchers.<br /> Another crazy suggestion: why don't you build a Deathwing list? That way all your Terminators will be scoring and you can mix and match Assault Terminators and regular Terminators in the same squad. You are already fielding a lot of Terminators, so why not just bring some more?]]></description>

But it contains lots of power fists and thunder hammers. <br /> <br /> I usually tend to ignore Monoliths, while Land Raiders are eventually easier to handle with power fists. <img src="/s/i/a/baf5f2e54c6b17d5c5d39aecadfa1272.gif" border="0">]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ So you are going to try to glance Land Raiders to death? They will obviously be moving over 6" at all times. Therefore you will need 6s to hit. You will than need 6s to glance. Than you will need to destroy all of it's weapons and immobilize it, before you can destroy it. In the case of a Land Raider Crusader (the most commonly used variant), you would therefore need an average of 108 Power Fist / Thunder Hammer attacks to destroy it. I don't think you should count on that happening.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Well, first I'll ignore the Land Raider. <br /> If this damn thing is going to contest an objective then it needs to be stationary or move just a few inches. Then auto-hitting or hitting on 4+ will help to damage it.<br /> <br /> I could give the Tactical squad a melta, but I usually roll a 1 to hit all the time so that I'd never count on a single melta. <img src="/s/i/a/baf5f2e54c6b17d5c5d39aecadfa1272.gif" border="0">]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ So if your terminators are moving up to contest objectives whats to stop landraiders just driving past them and taking your objectives. Terminators arent known for their speed so once you commit them either holding your own objectives or contesting your opponents then they will be stuck doing that all game. In the mean time you will be having difficulty keeping your own scoring units around.<br /> <br /> I think the list would be better with that extra tactical squad.]]></description>

				<title>Space Marines - 1500 Pts - RTT</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ I'd probably give the Attack Bikes Multimeltas.  Either that or drop them and the THunderfire for some <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(330);'>MM</span>/<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(336);'>HF</span> Speeders.  Either option will give you some better weapons to help deal with things like Land Raiders more effectively without having a termie squad try and wail on it for numerous rounds.  The Land Speeders also come with some rather nice anti-infantry with the Heavy Flamers.  I'd probably make 1 of the speeders I get a Storm so you can combat squad the Scouts and use the storm to dash onto an objective late in the game.  The Storm can also disrupt your opponent's deepstrikers pretty badly if you place it well (ie deny him the area he wants to land in and force him to a sub-optimal position).<br /> <br /> I like the Thunderfire Cannon though, it helps control your opponent's mobility and seeing as how you have almost no mobility it levels the playing field a bit.  I'm hesitant to really just say "yes, drop that" because of this.  I'm unsure of its real effect, but I like it in theory anyway <img src="/s/i/a/c944477abc92c1c101da485e07ff06d8.gif" border="0">]]></description>

The Tacticals held my objective in a fortified area, while the Sniper squad deployed with good position and the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>cc</span> Scouts were outflanking but appeared too late in round 5. The Assault Termies incl. <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> steam-rolled the largest part of his army, while the shooty Termies were first busy to annihilate the outflanking Scorpions. In the meanwhile, one <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(227);'>WL</span> and one <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(477);'>WW</span> squadron was able to approach my Tactical unit annihilating it. The game ended with a minor win, since I had about 1170 pts left, while Eldar only had the Warwalkers.<br /> <br /> <br /> <b>Second game</b> vs. mech Eldar: Kill points, deployment in quarters.<br /> <br /> Eldrad<br /> 6 Dire Avengers, Serpent<br /> 2x 5 Pathfinders<br /> 2x 3 Vypers<br /> 2x 3 Warwalkers<br /> 4 Dark Reapers<br /> <br /> Well, I deployed Tactical unit, shooty Termies, and Thunderfire in the back field,<br /> while Sniper Scouts infiltrated, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>cc</span> Scouts outflanked, and Assault Termies close to the center to approach the enemy.<br /> After three rounds the Assault Termies were dead. <img src="/s/i/a/baf5f2e54c6b17d5c5d39aecadfa1272.gif" border="0"><br /> Three of the reached <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>cc</span> vs. Dark Reapers and Pathfinders so that they made back their points.<br /> At the final end, he had 3 Warwalkers, Eldrad with 6 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(25);'>DAs</span> in a Serpent left.<br /> While I had shooty Termies, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span>, Attack Bikes, and Tacticals left. Solid win.<br /> <br /> <br /> <b>Third game</b> vs. Nurgle <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSM</span>: Four mission objectives (one in the centre), pitched battle.<br /> <br /> Chaos Lord w/ daemonic weapon, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(100);'>MoN</span><br /> 7 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(634);'>PM</span> w/ meltas<br /> Landraider<br /> 2x 9 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(634);'>PM</span> w/ plasma guns, Rhino<br /> 2x Vindicators.<br /> <br /> Well, the Assault Termies deployed on a flank moved forward towards a mech wall of Vindicator, Rhino, and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span>.<br /> The Vindicator got destroyed by a missile launcher (side armor) shot.<br /> The Assault Termies opened the Rhino and then (1) were shot by the embarked <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(634);'>PM</span> squad (plasma gun x2),<br /> and (2) were charged by the Lord and his <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(634);'>PM</span> retinue from the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(87);'>LR</span>. <br /> They killed the Lord and all but three <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(634);'>PM</span>. <br /> At the centre the normal Termies approached (through a large structure) Vindicator and Rhino squad.<br /> The Vindicator lost his cannon and the Rhino got popped. <br /> The remaining Termies (about 5) and the Librarian were ready to charge the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(634);'>PM</span> crawling out the destroyed Rhino.<br /> Here Chaos surrendered. Win.<br /> <br /> <br /> <b>Final standing: </b><br /> I ended up winning the tournament, with mech <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(27);'>DE</span> 2nd, Eldar 3rd, Nurgle <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSM</span> 4th, and mech Eldar last. Personaly, I would not want to have my <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(121);'>SoB</span> to face that terminator hord.<br /> You don't have a way to move terminator units where you need them.<br />  You won a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(48);'>GT</span> with a simmilar army? Anti ap4 out of cover and anti ap5 reguardless of cover. The pathfinders still get an armor save vs the airburst of the thunderfire..Im sure it still killed em lots though. <br /> <br /> I guess Simply having the thunderfire allows you to kill troops nearly aswell as the whirldwind while letting you use the fancy shells if the situation ever arises.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I stayed with the theme and didn't take tanks. <br /> However, if the enemy focuses fire against the Thunderfire it usually goes down. But that's only half of the story since the Techmarine needs to die too in order to get kill points. <img src="/s/i/a/baf5f2e54c6b17d5c5d39aecadfa1272.gif" border="0">]]></description>
