Here's some ideas:

Maybe replace the minigun with a burst cannon, add Broadside railguns to its arms Crisis-style. Raise it up on its toes, so it has hooves like a proper Tau-oid mech. A smart-missile system on either side of the head, and modify the head to resemble the XV-25 and XV-22.
