Recently a local escalation league started. Soon we'll be moving out of the dreaded 500 pt games up to 750. The local players are playing tyranids (x2), orks, ig, templars, sm, eldar, dark eldar, tau and csm.

This is the list I'm planning on using for now:

Daemon Prince - Wings, MoS, Lash - 155

-Troop-

8 x CSM, melta, champ w/ pfist, combi-melta, IoCG, rhino - 225

Total - 755 (5 points over is the limit).

I'm not sure about making the Csm squads smaller or removing thier versitility. Having 2 tanks does sound pretty 'ard for 750 though. After some thought I think I'm starting to lead towards list 2 or 3. A winged tyrant with implant attack and some upgrades (strength, I) can kill your prince in one turn of combat.

Daemon prince takes care of most 750 hordes and if someone runs MCs at you, 4 oblits can really take them down, and if they aren't enough, you can run the meltas at them.
Surprisingly, oblits are also anti-horde, they can take out a lot with plasmacannons, combined with the Prince you've got solid either way.
Oblits are always the models to take.
Oh, if someone runs mech at you, you've got enough meltas to wreck face, including a MC

Vindicators are at most mediocre. best to just take three if you're going to take them at all. That's a whole lot of anti-horde and what happens if they throw bigger stuff at you? you gonna lose your one good tank fast, and your Pred might take one MC down before it gets to it.

I think I've narrowed down my list to as follows, at least for a game or two.

preditor - hb sponsons - 100

I like this list as it stays mostly true to my original idea while fitting in another vehicle. I generally like preds better than vindi's, I have bad luck with blasts and I feel like the pred will win back its points in one way or another more often than a vindi would. Also, this way I won't feel guilty about bringing 4 oblits. Thanks again for the feedback guys.
