Making an ammo belt

well, I'm trying to create my own killa kan type conversion. One of the things I'd really like to have is a nice killy shoota, with a pair of ammo belts hanging from it. The ammo belts on ebay are like $15 with shipping which is at least $13 more then I'm willing to spend on this part of the project. Any ideas for something I can homebrew? I do have greenstuff but can't imagine how i'd do all the points.

thanks!

There is a sort of plastcard pipe in the market.

You can cut these into little rods that resemble bullets, make sure you have enough of them.
Then use greenstuff to make two belts.
Lay down one belt and place all the little rods on top.
Place the other belt on top of the rods and start blending it a little so that the greenstuff looks like is is one belt.

thanks for the ideas, all. The plastic rods would be easier to use but for the points, I think i'm gonna try toothpicks. I'll post pics of the results.

The ork ammo belts are pretty short. Get your hands on a bunch of them, stick them together into a big ammo belt, then cast it in green stuff using a two-sided press mold. That way it will be flexible enough to bend it into whatever position you need.

This way you will have more flexibility.
