The Prism and Jetbikes move up, accompanied by the Farseer, Night-Spinner & Vyper, whilst the scorps infiltrate. The entire army except The falcon open fire, Hopefully gunning down a unit of Stealthsuits, and killing 10+ Kroot (this will be the night-spinners job). Next turn Banshees disembark and assault, and Scorps assault what left of the kroot, or whatevers in range. Jetbikes continue to J-S-J, supported by the Prism and vyper and Night-spinner. Entire army opens fire again, hopefully knocking out more units. On the 5th turn jetbike zoom towards objectives, Hopefully capturing more than the opponent.
VH

Re:1200 Eldar needs to win Vs. Tau w/ stealthsuits

The scorpain Stalker exarch power costs 5pts. Move through cover is useful & worth it for 5pts. Get that.

Swap the 6 banshess for 6 firedragons. Banshees just dont have the punch in squads of 6, even with doom. Perhaps giving the farseer guide instead of doom & taking off the bike?

The vyper wants to live. To live it needs to stay at range, to avoid enemy light-arms fire. A shuriken cannon is too short ranged to be of use here. 10pts wasted.

The falcon wants an EML, not a scatter laser. If it moves at 6" it can fire everything (at str 8) but it can also move 12" and fire the pulse laser & a str 4 ap 4 blast.. when you look at the shots, its quite a nice amount of anti-troop shooting. Even better if the tank is guided from the inside.

All those changes wont cost you any more points & may infact save you on some points.

If you fall down anywhere, itll be with your troops. Those bikes will die oh so quickly vs tau firepower. Get pathfinder rangers, a 5man sqaud. That 2+ cover save can eat up sooo many shots. Just watch out for the airburst frag launcher. You can fit a sqaud in if you remove the vyper, remove the bike as I suggested & one jetbiker, yes you loose out on a model & a shuriken cannon but you get a very useful 5more troops.

Use the infiltrating pathfinders to support the scorpains infiltrating/outflanking charge. A mini tag-team while the rest of the army scoots around at speed.

Thats all good, but I hate the idea of Rangers so would never use them. I also don't have any Fire Dragons. Wouldn't Banshees be quite good against Steathsuits? On the charge you'll kill about 4, and thats the squad earn't its points back, but they should also chop through Battlesuits like a hot Knife Through butter.
These asre the models I have:
Autarch on Jetbike
Farseer on Jetbike
6 Striking Scorpions
30 Howling Banshees
6 Swooping Hawks
6 Warp Spiders
21 Eldar Jetbikes
Jain Zar
Autarch
Farseer
2 Falcons
1 Falcon/Night-spinner
1 Fire Prism
3 Firestorms
I think thats everything. As you can see I'm uber-mobile, so Rangers don't fit, and I hate the idea of outcasts so I'd prefer not to have any.
VH

A squad of 6 banshes + exarch w/ the executioner will just about kill a 2man battlesuit team with a shield drone. Which isnt ideal, if they start loosing models before a combat then they will be stuck & against anything even slightly harder they will start to loose combats which is never fun.

Jain Zar could improve your odds by making the banshees fearless while being excellent in CC herself but thats expensive.

Heres what I suggest;

Autarch
+Jetbike
+mandi-blasters
+ laser lance = 130

Yriel = 155

6x Guardain jetbikes
+warlock
+singing spear (when you aim at a tank)
+destructor
+2xshuriken cannon = 204

6x Guardain jetbikes
+2x shuriken cannon = 146

6x Guardain jetbikes
+2xshuriken cannon = 146

5x striking scorpains
+exarch
+Shadowstrike & stalker
+biting blade (anti-walker/vehicle - a bargin for 5pts)
+scorps claw (everything else) = 137

5x howling banshees
+exarch
+executioner
+acrobatic & warshout = 112

Falcon
+EML
+holofields = 170

(Slightly lacking anti-tank but still strong)

= 1200

Yriel goes with banshees to give much needed wallop to the squad, whom all sit in the fast moving falcon.
Erm...
Yriel is iyanden, and I have a saim-hann army. Also, when his lacking aspect is anti-tank, you have only included one Skimmer. Against Stealthsuits, the Banshees get 3 Attacks each, for a total of 10 Hits, excluding the exarch. They then score 5 Kills, and I think the Exarch is more than enough to nuke 1 Stealthsuit. While they will lose models, they have already earned their points back, so any extra kills are a bonus.
VH

Re:1200 Eldar needs to win Vs. Tau w/ stealthsuits

Off-topic- As this reply is more of a tactics reply than a list comment, I apologize if it's out of place but wanted to show why I like this list.
I really like your original list. Its a strong list versus a very weak 1200 Tau list. His stealths become fairly vulnerable once your inside of 24" (roughly 50% chance to see them at 21"). and they carry 18" ranged weapons. I'd set up to have the jetbikes duel stealths at first. Just try to dance(JSJ) them outside of the firewarrior range until second or third turn. Have the Falcs concentrate on the crisis team and commander. Move the Vyper and Prism for side shots on the Railhead first turn. The only thing I might change is a second squad of Scorps but you don't have them so, Good list.

I'd actually, if the opportunity arose, set up second at just over 32" away and long gun untill his 2 strong units are nuetralized. Going second allows you set the Scorps in response to his infiltration squads. I might (?) even hold the jetbikes in reserve to counter his infiltrating stealths. Deploy the banshee/ falc where they are out of sight until you get them loaded into the falc.

Honestly his only strengths are the crisis team and the railhead. Once they're nuetralized its a mop-up exercise.

As a Tau player with this list I'd probably have the stealths gunning for your Tanks first turn, if hey've got fusion blasters, then the jetbikes. Jetbikes might be first IF they were deployed in a vulnerable manner. If you screen your prism with a falc & vyper and set your scorps to scare one of the stealth squads(I sometimes infiltrate into my own lines creating a barrier between an opponents infiltrators and thier intended target) you should reduce the infiltration threat and nullify his battle plan.

Please remember that these are only my ideas that I hope will help but, when all is ready, play your own game. Good Luck

Edited for Off-topic statement

1200 Eldar needs to win Vs. Tau w/ stealthsuits

Just run all mech. His army as described won't be able to handle it, unless the stealth suits and every squad of crisis suits has a fusion gun.

Another option is to simply outrange him. Eldar have plenty of shooty units with 36 or 48 inch range. They can just light up the crisis suits and then have their way with the firewarriors and kroot.

With your models, I'd just run something like:

Falcon, brightlance, holofields
Falcon, brightlance, holofields
Fire Prism, holofields (I wish you had two)
3x 6 guardians jetbikes with shuriken cannons
guideseer on bike
6 of whatever you want in a falcon

I'd want to put 6 dire avengers in one of the falcons for scoring purposes but you can put anything you want in there. I don't really think you need to assault his army, just out shoot/out maneuver/out range it. You can make the bulk of his army useless at range and pick it apart. It is not very mobile, and only has one real threat to your three tanks, which they should be able to kill. The brightlances will still be useful after the hammerhead is dead to kill crisis suits. If you had one more fire prism to replace a falcon you'd be set but as it is you'd be more than fine. You don't need to run up and get in his face...make his firewarriors and kroot useless.

if the stealth suits try to close the gap and threaten the guardians, then you can run up a falcon full of stuff to charge them. And you charge them wih the jetbikes to tie them up. 5 stealth suits lose to 6 guardian jetbikes in combat anyway if the jetbikes charge.

I will also say that your first list really is fine. As focusedfire said, the tau list is not that strong. You're running three tanks as well. I'd just give the falcon a brightlance - I'd want to get rid of the hammerhead, but thats just me.

Also, three tanks allows you to chase his static units off the board - Tau leadership sucks, you can tank shock those firewarriors and kroot with three tanks and watch them break.

1200 Eldar needs to win Vs. Tau w/ stealthsuits

Guide is good for the shuricannons but not the twin-linked catapults or there maybe room for a jetlock.

If you had a wave serp w/lances I'd suggest dropping the falc for one and using the extra points to top off your banshees.

As it is this is a fairly good list. The only changes I'd be tempted to make would be to drop the Scorps in favor of another squad of jebikes just because they don't seem to fit the flavor of the build. Couple that with not using the star engines and you've got enough points for the extra squad plus giving the farseer some extra stuff.

Dont under estimate jetseer guided nine strong jetbike squads. Last night one such squad took out a drop pod, a 10man SM squad, a rhino, and a landspeeder typhoon.
I was playing the winner of the last local tourny.

Game would have been a massacre if my prisms had killed anything in the first 3 turns. As it was the game ended a draw on 5th turn just as the bike were about to jump to challenge one of the objectives and the prism was going to tank shock a vanilla Sm squad on the other objective(We were going second).

The only changes I'd be tempted to make would be to drop the Scorps in favor of another squad of jebikes

A large Guardian Jetbike unit as suggested has a large footprint and will be a juicy target for IG, while Scorpions can outflank and came from reserve.

1200 Eldar needs to win Vs. Tau w/ stealthsuits

@West- he doesn't have wave serps. He posted what he has up-thread and he's building the army to fight Tau as per the thread title.

Also, I like the jetbikes. They suit a certain personality that doesn't necessarily want to run the same ol dire avenger w/wave serp, and prism spam list.

The only thing he is really missing aside from wave serps is jetlocks. They do a number when assaulting vehicles.

1200 Eldar needs to win Vs. Tau w/ stealthsuits

You don't really want to assault tau vehicles because of the flechette launchers, unless you add fortune to the farseer. Fortune would really help Jetbikes against Tau especially. The re-rolling 3+ would be pretty much untouchable by the tau infantry and stealth suits. Guide also helps the falcon and jetbike shuriken cannons.

@ White dragon- you are absolutely right on that point. Wandered off into speaking in general terms instead of Tau specific tactics. Good catch.

My apologies to the OP for giving a half tactic that would be likely to backfire.
