I've seen some pretty cool Chimera conversions that use this piece, along with a SM Predator turret to make some really distinctive Chimera conversions - including this one by Lanceradvanced:



So, it can definitely be done, but what great conversions like these don't show is that mounting the Immolator top on the Chimera leaves edges hanging over that need to be taken care of. In Lancer's case, it looks like he solved the issue with plasticard. In another conversion I've seen, it looks like the issue was solved by gluing stowage and using greenstuff to camoflage the edge.
