Panic is your enemy.

I'd go along the lines of (its easier for me to work backwards than forwards), and as its 1500 pts...

RARE:
2 Trolls (basic ones)

Special:
2 spear chukkas
Boar chariot (was going to go rock lobber to save points but this is a combat list)
15-20 black orcs with command (Mage here)

Core:
25 Orcs- full command (BO general here)
20 NGs with bows (muso only)- 2 fanatics
30 NGs with spears and full command (gobbo BSB here)- 1 fanatic
2 units of x5 spiders (muso) or x5 wolf riders (muso and spears and short bows) mixed to your preference

Heroes.
Black orc hero- in orc unit (to avoid animosity annoyance and guarentee a '6' on Waaagh test for the unit)

BSB- gobbo to save money, put him on a wolf. He is ONLY there to give rerolls to break tests, do not let him fight! Give him the 5+ ward save.

Lev 2 mage- 2 dispel scrolls. In black orcs where he will be safest.

That should get you around 1500 points (don't have rulebook with me), if over drop the trolls, if under aim to fit a giant (to get more points I'd drop the chariot and the trolls)
