				<description><![CDATA[ Well Im thinking of starting an Eldar Ulthwe style army.  I made my first list and I wanted some feedback on it, so here it is. <img src="/s/i/a/c944477abc92c1c101da485e07ff06d8.gif" border="0"><br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(56);'>HQ</span> - Eldrad Ulthran, 5 warlock bodyguards w/ Enhance and a Spiritseer - 356 pts.  <br /> (Its my little Seer Council, its important to have with all Ulthwe armies if your going with the Ulthwe theme).<br /> <br /> Troops - 10 Guardians w/ scatter laser and warlock w/ conceal - 135 pts.<br /> Troops - 10 Guardians w/ scatter laser and warlock w/ conceal - 135 pts.<br /> Troops - 10 Guardians w/ scatter laser and warlock w/ conceal - 135 pts.<br /> Troops - 10 Guardians w/ scatter laser and warlock w/ conceal - 135 pts.<br /> <br /> Heavy Support - Wraithlord w/ wraithblade - 100 pts.<br /> <br /> Heavy Support - 3 War Walkers, 6 scatter lasers, and spirit stones - 195 pts.<br /> <br /> Elites - 10 Banshee, Exarch w/ mirrorswords - 182 pts.<br /> Transport for Banshee - Wave Serpent w/ Twin shuriken cannons, shuriken cannon, and spirit stones - 120 pts.<br /> <br /> Total - 1493 pts.<br /> <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I prefer <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(461);'>EML</span>'s over scatter lasers. Ranged. AP4 Pinning. mid-level anti-tank. Worth the 5pts. Personal choice...<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(269);'>Id</span> suggest getting embolden over conceal (or an avatar) as you should find cover in your backfield easily enough for most of the troops but when you loose the inevitable casulties, you want to be able to have some staying power. As it standards, those 40 guardains could run of the table pretty fast vs a whirldwind or two. <br /> <br /> Give the wraithlord a shuriken cannon, atleast. Even if he does want to run virtually every turn, hes got the weapon-mount for it & it is only 10pts. <br /> <br /> Your little seer council cannot fleet :( For a foot-based council, this isnt exactly great.<br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(269);'>Id</span> suggest the howling banshee exarch get the powered glaive..as a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(123);'>str</span> 5 WS5 exarch with 3 attacks on a charge is just too good to pass up. Im pretty sure the glaive is better overall, even including costs. Likewise the acrobatic & warshout abilities are a mere 5pts each and for the occasion one-in-every-6 then your opponent fails his <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(82);'>LD</span> test on a charge and they fight you with WS1.. well worth. Acrobatic (plus thier banshee masks) means they are immune to being counter-assaulted while not engaged. <br /> <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ What I miss the most would be some anti-tank firepower. <br /> The only thing you got in that list able to do so would be the council which'll have other tasks most of the time and the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(227);'>WL</span> who'll never reach most vehicles for <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>cc</span>. Perhaps you'd think about switching two guardian squads for Stormguardians with meltas to chase tanks, solo UCM and the like. If they don't have such targets, let them support banshees and the council when outnumbered in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>cc</span>.<br /> Further on, give a weapon to the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(227);'>WL</span>. What about a lance to hunt down vehicles <img src="/s/i/a/6d3c0a908a3861135dfaebde91c0ecf6.gif" border="0"><br /> Just my two cents...]]></description>

Strong infact. <br /> <br /> But with only 10-foot guardains & 3man GJS, thats very weak in terms of 'troops' at 1750.  Likewise, a unit of 5 warp spyders wont do much except die then run away. Yes they are LD9, but if they take 2 casulties - they must test. Every casultie after that requires a test & if they fail these subsequent tests they cannot rally (they run of the board..unless they run into the fearless bubble from the avatar but thats beside the point)..<br /> <br /> Sorry, just my critique. ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ at 2000 points I was going to drop a unit of guardians and add a unit of avengers with a serpent and a unit of dragons with a serpent, along with the already deadly banshee unit with a serpent...Ive seen some players use these units and if you can play them right it is a very hard list to beat.<br /> <br /> Ive never really cared much for Harlequins or warp spiders and I agree with Razerous the guardian jet bikes...they are too gimpy and will be blow away to fast.  I also dont really see the need for an avatar with so few guardians.  Well just my personal opinion. <img src="/s/i/a/c944477abc92c1c101da485e07ff06d8.gif" border="0">]]></description>

The Avatar can do some nasty damage, but he wont get close enough until turn 3 at least, by which point the damage will be done - and that's if you don't get tied up in melee.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I made my Ulthwe fluffy and run without any aspect warriors. <br /> <br /> It does really good at 1750. Don't know about 1850 or 2150pt matches though.<br />  The one 2150 match I played was a quick pick-up game against my friends all armored <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(15);'>BT</span> force and just added two squads of harlies for the extrapoints. Didn't know until I started pulling the army out that he was running the All-armoured.<br />  If I had the models I would have added another Guardian jetbike squad and some more vypers instead. Ah well, live and learn. I will say that harlies don't seem to mix well in my list.<br /> <br /> The list is a jetbike/mechdar list. Let me know if your interested in seeing it.]]></description>

The the avatar as a melta-gun-sword-thing so he can shoot the turn before he could charge but his main role is to secure the saftey of those guardains. <br /> <br /> The only problem this list will have, anti-armor terms is either a couple of landraiders or a monolith but the seer-council do have the ability to counter this threat, at a closer distance. (I.e better-than-melta range)]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Im not talking about fire dragons - who prawn* all.. im on about melta-guns vs singing spears. <br /> <br /> While AP1 is good.. if you dont get to roll on the damage table through lack of a glancing hit then it does you no good.. So <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(123);'>str</span> 9 is superoir in that respect. For meltaguns to be really effective you need to be within 6" and likewise, with multi-meltas, you need to stand still & be within 12" (only if its an infantry mounted version) while you can move 6" and throw 12" at full effectiveness... Thats all I ment  <img src="/s/i/a/39ea8e0dbfb45dcc6b802cd0e198dba3.gif" border="0"> <br /> <br /> * As in, heat up, cook, singe, fry, melt and basically serve as tasty smoking flesh morsels similiar to that of a cooked prawn reguardless of thier previous armorment. ]]></description>
