Fallen Dark Angels CSM what faction?

Ok so I have decided that CSM will be my next army, and I want at least part of them to be Fallen Dark Angels (I have a bunch of left over bits from my DA army). I was wondering if non god specific CSM are worth taking as troops choices or should i just model my Fallen and say they are counts as Plague Marienes, Zerkers, etc?

Any suggestion would be appreciated.

Taking normal CSM, as Iron Warriors show us, is so you can free up points for more armor, or as the Alpha Legion teachs us, more Fast Attack.

Fallen Angel Chosen would actually be really hawt. There aren't enough of them (fluff wise) to be troops, and having a bunch of them with special weapons would allow you to tell a story with each one. Modeling opportunities abound!

I really like the Chosen suggestion GBF, and darkhound. However now the only issue is how to equip them. It seems like I can have 5 guys in the squad (ill be running 10) can be upgraded with special wep.

I would assume that CSM are still more shooty based like SM but slightly better in assult due to the CCW and Pistol, am I right in that assumption? Therefor I should take the shooting options instead of Power wep, LC and power fists.

Well, no. We are more versital than the Loyalists is all. If you give them power weapons, don't forget they are still carring their bolters. If you lack serious anti-tank, take a couple Meltas and some Fists and go hunting. Need anti-horde? Flamers and Power Weps. Chosen have an abundance of aviable weapons and Infiltrate so they can get close to shoot and melee. Just remember to keep them aimed at a specific target.
