Lizardmen vs. Cairn Wraiths

In a recent game of Lizardmen vs. VC, a couple of questions came up that we didn't have a good answer for.

1. Does the Banshee count as a unit Champion? In particular, can she issue and accept challenges?

2. A Saurus Scar-Veteran with a Pirahna Blade (unsaved wounds are multiplied into 2 wounds) fights a unit of Cairn Wraiths (2 wounds each). He attacks four times, hitting three times and wounding with all three, no saves. How many Cairn Wraiths go down?
a) One, with one wound on another.
b) Two.
c) Three.

(FWIW, from my reading. It can't be a. I'm inclined to say c, but I'm not sure.)

3. Same as above, but the Cairn Wraiths already have a wound on them. How many go down?
a) Two.
b) Three.

Re:Lizardmen vs. Cairn Wraiths

I'll take a humble stab at Number 2. I don't have the book on me, so I'll check later. I believe that would be three dead, as the Scar Vet essentially caused six wounds. Now, if he had had the same result against single wound models, it would still only be three dead, which I think is explicitly stated in the rulebook. And since I think that way about number 2, question 3 would obviously receive the same answer.

Sorry, can't answer Number 1.

Lizardmen vs. Cairn Wraiths

When fighting an opponent with multiple wounds, a multi-wound weapon can do a max # of wounds per wounding hit = to the opponent’s max wounds. So if you have a sword that does a d6 wounds per wound, and hit successfully roll to hit and wound 3 times vs Cairn wraiths, each d6 roll is capped at 2. With the Pirhana Blade, there’s no waste. Each wound = a dead Wraith. You can’t carry over a wound from one to the next, though, so if the unit already had a wound on it, that odd wound would vanish.

You can’t carry over a wound from one to the next, though, so if the unit already had a wound on it, that odd wound would vanish.

Actually the wound is on the squad and not a spesific model (unless the champ takes it). So the wound stays arround until the last guy goes down.
So in C you would kill 3 and the wound would remain (assuming someone was arround to carry it)
