				<title>Adeptus Arbites</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Firstly thanks for looking at this post  <img src="/s/i/a/5d13fa41280d6fdef786d41bc175d3f6.gif" border="0">. (If any admin feels this is in the wrong place please move it to somwhere more relevant )<br /> <br /> So my plan is to make an arbites army, primarily using the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(451);'>Bols</span> mini-dex (to play with mates/local club both are happy to face it) and if I enjoy the theme enough getting more to field them as Imperial guard/inquisition for tourneys/<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(50);'>gw</span> stores...etc. Firstly I have a list roughly however the main trouble is minis heres my current plan for models;<br /> <br /> Chief Judge/Judge; Direct only commisar with fist (removing the fist for a maul of some kind)<br /> <br /> Arbitrators (or grunts); re-modelled cadians (with scout shotguns and some green stuff and a file should be alright)<br /> Shock teams; UW junkers Auxilia models (replacing at least heads and swords and raising the bases/bulking them out)<br /> Storm team; Pig Iron heavy assault infantry (they look so nice)<br /> cyber hounds;  ? no idea yet<br /> Suppression platforms; ? no idea yet<br /> Sharpshooters; <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(119);'>SM</span> scouts (minus heads) <br /> Senitnels; <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(50);'>GW</span> sentinels but i feel they need somthing.....<br /> <br />      So firstly I wanted <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(277);'>OOP</span> arbite models then looked at the costs for each one and thought no. Then i thought necromunda enforcers then looked at the cost and nearly choked. So I started to look elsewhere hence my above list. So onto my questions;<br /> <br /> 1)  How much converting using <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(50);'>GW</span> produce must be needed to change these none <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(50);'>GW</span> products into passable (for a store game for example).<br /> 2)  Any ideas for the unknowns or better suggestions appreciated.<br /> 3)  Anyone have any screnario/mission ideas for such a force (to run for the lil gamers)<br /> 4)  Would a painting log/pictures be a good idea (again if only to motivate myself)<br /> 5)  Ideas on how to turn/add to make it a themed <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> army aprreciated (to take the army further if nothing else)<br /> 6)  any input really with be appreciated.<br /> <br /> Thanks.<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />  <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Sounds nice. But no tracked vehicles?? No problem though.<br /> <br /> Just a heads up before you go converting everybody, I had picked up a rumour that the new plastic stormtroopers for <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> are also going to be used as Arbites too!! So they might have all your weapon/head options on them already!<br /> <br /> As for sentinels, they'd look nice with a bit of a cage going on around the pilot, and maybe a searchlight or a megaphone? Or you could totally go judge dread and give the front of them imperial eagle wings and some flashing lights on top!!]]></description>

So, let's go point by point:<br /> <br /> - Arbitrators - The new plastic <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(119);'>SM</span> Scouts are perfect for these guys. Arm them up with shotguns and you're most of the way there. You can add some greenstuff aquilas to knee and shoulderpads if you want, but it's kind of unnecessary. The biggest issue is getting the heads right. There aren't any real separate heads that <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(50);'>GW</span> produces that are reminiscent of the Arbitrator's helmets (I mean, there's the Necro Enforcers, but if you're going to buy the heads, you'll be buying the bodies, too.) Thankfully, though, MaxMini just came out with a line of heads that should be able to help. And from conversations I've had with them, even if a conversion pack has 5 different heads, they're pretty flexible about putting together a pack for you with just one or two types if you want. Here's the link to the Dakka thread about them: <a href="http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/234402.page." target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/234402.page.</a> Personally, I think the third, fourth, or fifth ones would all look cool in large numbers.<br /> <br /> - Shock Teams - Again, new plastic <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(119);'>SM</span> Scouts - this time, instead of using the shotgun arms, give them the Bolt Pistol and Knife arms. Replace the knives with power mauls and the cut off the bolt pistols and replace them with riot shields. There's a variety of ways to make riot shields, ranging from making your own out of plasticard or plastic film cannisters. But again, MaxMini can save the day - they've got packs with Riot Shields. Good stuff.<br /> <br /> - Storm Team - These guys should just be <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(119);'>SM</span> Scouts armed differently, no big deal. <br /> <br /> - Cyber Hounds - The Necromunda Enforcer hounds are the best, really, but if you search around on Google, I believe there are some other cyborg dog miniatures out there that would also work well. You could also get a bunch of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(50);'>GW</span> Dire Wolves and bionic them up with some bits.<br /> <br /> - Suppression Platforms - These can be made pretty easily from Razorback kits. You'll need the Rhino chassis for your Arbitrators - just get the Razorback that way you can use the twin-linked weapon bits for the Suppression Platforms.<br /> <br /> - Sharpshooters - Personally, I think the camo cloaks look a little out of place on guys from a SWAT team - it looks good on the battlefield, but when was the last time you saw a SWAT Sharpshooter with one in a movie or TV show?<br /> <br /> - Sentinels - <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(50);'>GW</span> Sentinels, straight up.<br /> <br /> Now, all that said, I think you should consider the new <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> Codex for a ruleset to use for these guys. Granted, you don't get some of the cool specialized equipment that you do with the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(451);'>BoLS</span> list, but, you also don't have any problems in the world of playing with the list - you can play it anywhere, up to and including <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(50);'>GW</span> tournaments. Here's what the new <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> Codex has to offer for Arbites players:<br /> <br /> - Command Squads with Carapace Armor, BS4, a wide variety of special weapons and gear and Advisors that could represent things like Detectives, Undercover Officers, etc.<br /> - Stormtroopers - Already have Carapace armor and can get infiltrate or deep strike<br /> - Veteran Squads with Carapace Armor, BS4, good special weapons, and access to Chimeras - not Rhinos, I know, but frankly, better in a lot of ways.<br /> - Special Weapon Squads - no Carapace Armor, but you can get 3 Sniper Rifles with them.<br /> - Penal Legion - Very fluffy for Arbites - sending the legions of prisoners at the enemy<br /> - Sentinels - A wide variety, including new types with Missile Launchers and Plasma Cannons<br /> - Rough Riders - You can run them on horses like mounted police or on Scout Bikes for a nice Judge Dredd feel.<br /> - Valkyries/Vendettas - The 42nd Milennium's equivalent to the SWAT Helicopter - can't you just see your men rappelling out now?<br /> - Banewolf - Like the Hellhound, it's fast, but it has a template "chemical cannon" that for <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> is poison. For Arbites it could be a water cannon or some type of chemical irritant that incapacitates. It works because it's poison, but it's S1, so it's considered a Defensive Weapon for the number of weapons you can fire.<br /> - Manticore - Just like a Black Maria, but better.<br /> <br /> Take a look at the rumored rules - there's great stuff for the burgeoning Arbites player.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Firstly thanks for the replys,<br /> <br /> @ s.j.mccartney     <br /> <br /> The force has some tracked vehicles just that i already own 2 boxed chimera sets unbuilt.<br /> As for the sentinels hmmm I like the flashing lights idea mabye some LEDs and a wath battery hmm.<br /> Thanks for the picture if its true then it'll make life alot easyier.<br /> <br /> Death By Monkeys <br /> <br /> Firstly I have had a look at  your log in detail and wow really impressive. As to the points;<br /> <br /> Arbitrators/storm team; must admit these have caused me some grief I did consider scouts my only qualm being that they look well identical short of weapon equipment and I was hoping to have them stand out more though my second choice elysian drop troops are fair bit higher cost. Hence my alternative since they look like they could actually do swat style manouvers.Still definatly food for thought.<br /> <br /> Shock team; I'm sold on the scouts for these guys and wow those maxmini shields do look nearly perfect.<br /> <br /> Cyberhounds; I agree the enforcer hounds look best the problem buying a £20 box for one mini (Im looking at 2 for this starter force). 				<description><![CDATA[ Glad to be of some help. I haven't checked out the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(451);'>BoLS</span> list in detail yet, but the old fan codex was fairly underpowered, so I never had any problems convincing opponents to play me with it at the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(38);'>FLGS</span>. That said, it was a pretty good list, all things considered, and I managed to do fairly well with it. I imagine you'll find the same situation with the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(451);'>BoLS</span> list.]]></description>
