				<description><![CDATA[ After browsing <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(119);'>SM</span> codexes i noticed that <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(119);'>SM</span>'s have more short range anti tank firepower than <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span>'s has,<br /> and i think a multi melta would fill that choice pretty well.<br /> <br /> Multi meltas are heavy weapons, and can only be used by heavy weapons teams.<br /> <br /> Multi meltas should be available to anti tank squads for 20 points and to all other units that have options for one or more heavy weapon teams for 15 points.<br /> <br /> <br /> What do you think?<br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I think that setting up a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(330);'>MM</span> wouldn't be all too beneficial to the guard, as they tend to be easily avoided on an infantry platform, not to mention the fact that there wouldn't be a single player in the world who would let that squad stay on the table any longer than they could get away with.  Besides, if your <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> are getting close enough to effectively use the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(330);'>MM</span>, you're probably able to get them close enough to just use a meltagun anyhow, and then follow up with meltabombs or krak grenades anyhow, so why bother with the extra points?<br /> <br /> <br /> Look at it like this:<br /> Lascannons still bust terminators, and they do it at twice the range...<br /> Battlecannons still bust <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(95);'>MEQs</span>, at 3 times the range with a much higher damage potential...<br /> Demolishers kick EVERYTHING at the same range, and really don't need to get within 12" for a bonus dice...<br /> Autocannons deal with light vehicles at longer ranges, and will mow down anything with a 4+ that's not in cover...<br /> Heavy bolters are just anti-hoarde goodness, and force <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(95);'>MEQ</span> players to roll more dice than they might be comfortable with...<br /> <br /> Honestly, I think it may have been left out of the running for your average footslogger because it would be utterly useless in the hands of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> infantry given the other options available.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ im not sure they would gain all that much from it really.<br /> guard seem to be heavy weapon heavy (so to speak)<br /> so things like lascannons tend to come in 3's, meaning that tank busting isnt all that hard for them.<br /> <br /> not 100% on this, but cant sentinels take M.meltas?]]></description>

JD21290 yes the new spear head sentinals can take multi meltas and the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>ig</span> are getting a new dedicated tank to the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(330);'>mm</span>(it has a small melta blast. w00t) <br /> <br /> i think <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>ig</span> should get multi meltas because its just a long range melta, the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>ig</span> are all about long range!!]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ They should get a drop podding or Command Squad (transported) weapon based on that new Melta tank.  The one with the 24" Melta blast.  That would be a cool Guard weapon.  It could even be a variant ammo for the good ol' Mortar.]]></description>
