I had rhinos in my army originally but then I got to thinking with only 2 or 3 rhinos they aren't going to be on the table long. Rhinos aren't heavily armored as it is and with such a low count on it ALL the anti armor fire is gonna be on them first turn, and it doesn't take much to drop them. so if i am lucky and get the first move i'll get to move my rhinos once before they are popped. If my list contained a bit more heavy armor firepower i.e. vindicators/predators/defilers I would invest in rhinos, too bad I already bought the models.

Why the power weapon on the champion?

There isn't really anything else you could do to improve this list other than mechanize it.
