Those are only fluff gaps if you assume that they are required for a "fantasy" setting.

If you don't go with that assumption, then they aren't needed.

Case in point, read Lord of the Rings. Any elementals, golems, or lycans there?

As to becoming actual armies...based on the way that GW has developed the game, it is doubtful, although elementals could be a possibility. Fen Beasts and the whole forrest spirit line are close to elemental in nature and there were a few old school Citadel early 80's era elemental models made.

Personally, I would rather see time devoted to redevelopment of the Chaos Dwarves who, incidentally, given that they are based on Sumerian/Assyrian/Babylonian visuals would be a decent place to fit in a golem.

Lycans would be hard to pull off in a traditional sense. What are they...vamperic beasts of chaos?

Re:WHFB fluff gaps

i dont know why people want werewolves in the undead lists. They are not undead but blessed/cursed.
There are already several kinds of lychantropes/shapeshifters in warhammer. The Norse have the were (werewolves, werebears). Wolf form of the Von Carstein. The Alter Kindreds of Wood Elves.

If Fenbeasts are not golems, then i dont know what is.

Elementals are in the fluff, even if they dont have any models

Hope this helps

Re:WHFB fluff gaps

Yeah, an army or even a unit of werewolves doesn't seem like the most likely of things (considering they are mindless killers)
Golems could be cool though (a bodyguard upgrade for a wizard with Ushabti like stats/ model)
Elementals, again not something that I imagine forming up in a battle line.
I can imagine small groups of werewolves cowed by a particularly powerful Vampire or something into working as a skirmishing unit.

gamefreak wrote:
lycanthropes: they have vampires why not werewolfs?

I'm sure there's something out there compareable. Besides, werewolves aren't undead. They're associated with the stereotypical "Halloween Horror" genre, which gives an inaccurate picture of their ways.

gamefreak wrote:
GOLEMS: I cant imagine a fantasy world without golems

I can. It also depends on your definition of "golem". The creature comes from Hebrew mythology, if memory serves, and is a construct or clay brought to life literally by the written name of God. The only thing I could see this even remotely working for in that sense are the Tomb Kings.

gamefreak wrote:
ELEMENTALS: they need some real magic in WHFB

Real magic? A opposed to what, all that make-believe magic that they come up with for this game? If anything, I think that the nature of Warhammer magic is a more convincing magical setup than most, seeming to originate from the concepts of the warp in tandem with irradiation.

All in all, Warhammer doesn't need any more stuff at the moment (or possibly ever). I say that we leave these concepts be in the WHFB setup and leave this sort of speculation and exploration open for stories in the original RPG.
