i'm guess that it is in affect all game and covers the entire battle field? This includes; pinning, morale/leadership tests also??

"The shadow in the warp" ld tests, the tyranid player at my local shop said to put it on my tyrant and put "psychic scream" on another tyrant along with 3 zoans and walk up the field pinning units within 18inches with a -4 to their ld/pinning tests and they must use 3 D6.?? wtf?

He was wrong. Shadow in the warp affects the whole table, nullifies PotW and makes ENEMY PSYCHIC tests roll 3d6. Note that it nullifies PotW for you as well

Combining it with the Scream is good because it pretty much means the enemy wont be casting any powers (since they use their LD) and its good for making units fall back from shooting, even if it is done on 2d6. he was correct in that the enemy has -4 to ld (yeah, so, Mr Marine, roll 4 on 2d6. Oh a 7?
