I'm gonna do a highlight soon. Going to mix some bleached bone with the base color

Also I had thought I got rid of the mold lines, but they really came out in painting :/

Same thing with the finger print, I guess i accidentally grabbed it while it was drying to move it...oh well

And once you get the mold lines taken care of you can spend more time painting. We all know the paint job is only as good as the prep work.

1. Water down your paint. 2:1 paint/water

2. Quick highlights, add your light color to make a medium highlight for dry brush, then more light color for your brightest highlight.

When starting the paint scene, dry brushing was magic to me. I really don't think advice telling a new painter to "freehand" and "line" armor is fair. Gotta work you into advanced techniques.

Instead of drybrushing, try painting the boltgun metal on regularly, then apply a badab black and/or devlan mud wash, then highlight.
