				<description><![CDATA[ so i was browsing the new 5th ed codex and recently bought iron hand straken and a marbo model since i am a catachan player .then it came to me while i was reading strakens rules that gives people around him furious charge.<br /> <br /> How deadly would that be if given to squads of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(307);'>PAGK</span> and Termie <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(305);'>Gks</span>. It would create an entirely new type of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> style , one that i centered around a charging force with straken giving everyone counter-attack and furious charge. It would give the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(305);'>Gks</span> 5 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(73);'>ini</span> and 7 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(123);'>str</span> and.. that could ruin any <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(95);'>MEQs</span> day it would also put them on par with many assault specialist.<br /> <br /> whats your thoughts on this guys ? i realise that this is pretty much power gaming but its an interesting idea. also since it says friendly models around 12 inch if your playing a 2v2 your buddy gets it also , am i correct?]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Uh, Creed isn't the better choice for <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span> power. Straken has a S6 chainfist that strikes at initiative order and has a 3+ save. Creed has to issue an order to use his F-Charge ability, whilst Straken always has it on.<br /> <br /> Yep, Straken+Grey Knights+Priest with Eviscerator+Yarrick+Primaris Psyker is going to be extremely costly, but nobody's going to think about going near it.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I am not convinced the priest is worth the points to be honest.  Straken is pretty potent all by himself.  Him (His advisors and two bodyguards, plus medpacks)and a unit of Grey Knights would be rather deadly, while not being <i>too</i> costly.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ theres many ways to take advantage of straken , hes also pretty potent on his own and hes always equiped with pistol / close combat so he gets a crack ton of attacks at <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(149);'>ws</span> 5 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(73);'>ini</span> 4 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(123);'>str</span> 7 a 5 on charges thats nothing to laugh at since its all power weaponesque. Not to mention getting counter-attack . <br /> <br /> the question remains as the rule book states that counter-attack gets +1 attack as if they too had assaulted that turn . does it benefit furious charge also ?. Because if thats the case your getting one badass mother*** that can rip marines apart.]]></description>

The guy is a machine (yuk yuk).  Not to mention that the guy is instant death to vehicles (He is worth slightly less than 5 melta bombs).]]></description>

You can even take sisters of battle however they arent really assault specific . <br /> <br /> Also if you were to take an eversor assasin and place him 12'' inside the range say your assault distance is still inside 12 inch you get a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(123);'>str</span> 5 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(73);'>ini</span> 6 assasin that can take on even the most hardcore assault specialist. You may get up to 10 attack with him. <br /> <br /> If you get assaulted you also get counter-attack from straken so you would count as assaulting also and would get +<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(24);'>d6</span> attack insted of 1 i belive ]]></description>

Even assaulting a basic guard squad allows the squad to allocate plenty of wounds to the priest before the GKT squad can hit, since he is an <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(67);'>IC</span>. 				<description><![CDATA[ The only problem is the tactic only works if you go first as it requires the Scout move before first turn to really go off. <br /> <br /> If you go second they become a good counter assault unit, but guard can handle counter assault with other much cheaper methods. <br /> <br /> Still, the various possible vendetta payload options is going to be a lot of fun. I am trying out the inquisitor and mystics in a vendi for the gynourmous sphere of ds death the huge Valk hull gives you. <br /> <br /> Even if they <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(36);'>faq</span> it to reduce hull size to not include the wings ( which I strongly agree with ) its still very large. <br /> <br /> That leaves me with two empty Vendi's in my base army so I will be playing around with various other items to throw in there. Sisters seem to be a nice cheap choice but no where near as effective as <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(305);'>GKs</span> or GKTs]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Demonettes and genestealers are the bane of this idea , even banshees still get the first attack turn regardless so it beats off that idea. Anything with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(186);'>def</span> grenades will also pretty much cancel out the tactic so the newly <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> vets i belive are equiped with them .<br /> <br /> a note on those vets if they are near straken and get charged their grenades takes off the ennemies bonus but they get counter-attack so in the end its like if they were charging themselves.<br /> <br /> Now all thats left to do is know if Counter-attack benefits from furious charge since technically they too are assaulting .]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ If we're talking about doubles/ally buffs then the real money shot is whatever allows you to use Straken's ability on the largest number of close assault capable models. On the ally side that's pretty much <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(305);'>GK</span>'s, even though they're hella expensive. On the doubles side the answer is probably Hormagaunts. People might not see the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(305);'>GK</span> combo coming, but anyone worth they're salt will, so you need the right kit in the list to keep Straken very reliably alive until turn 3.<br /> <br /> It's a pity they've jimmied the Rough Rider rules so that Straken's useless with them. <br /> <br /> <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(305);'>GKs</span> in a gunship is an awesome idea too. I wonder if it's legal.]]></description>
