i want to know what is your favorite story for a model and why for ex.

my favorite is Wazzdakka Gutsmek beacuse he has killed a titan and still has the three skulls on fire on the back of his bike

Pfft, it is most clearly Ragnar Blackmane.

While performing the final test of a Space Wolves initiate, which is walking back to the Fang, naked, in Temperatures and Weather that makes Antarctica look like Death valley, he actually killed and Skinned a Damn Fenrisan Wolf with a flint Knife and his bare hands. For those who don't know, Fenrisian Wolves grow to about 6 or 7 Feet at the Shoulder. Fully Matured Space Wolves have a hard enough time killing them to prove their manliness, and yet Ragnar did it before he even had all the SPESS MAHIRNE Implants in him.

Oh, and then he Single Handedly Killed a Warboss (and Possibly his Bodyguard if the Sagas are to be believed) while still a Blood Claw, which won him a Place in the Wolf Guard, something that was practically Unheard of. To put it in silly Nilla terms, this is the Equivalent of a Scout being so BadAss they promote him to the Honour Guard.

Ragnar is Clearly the coolest, although Logan with his Balls-to-the-wall-flip-you-the-bird Attitude to 90% of the Inquisition is also Pretty BadAss.

I always liked Pedro Kantor's story.

My favorite however is the Blood Axes, best illustrated by Korporal Snagbrat of the Dreadblade Kommandos. Their philosophy is summed up in one qoute,

"Us Blood Axes have learnt a lot from da humies. How best to kill 'em fer example."

I second the Mephiston for 'official' ICs. The only BA in existence to master the Red Thirst. Besides, I like the tragic heroes of the BA.

As for unofficial, I have my own captains that have done crazy things and deserve their own sagas, but that is for a different topic.

WRONG. Wazdakka drove his bike through the void shields into the cockpit and killed the crew. Hurr durr.

Also, Harker is awesome. He chews glass instead of tobacco, can put his hands in a fire without getting burned, and carries a heavy bolter like a rifle whilst Space Marines have to lug it around awkwardly.

He's like the Chuck Norris of 40K.

All SW have to do that though, right? They have to skin the wolf with only a knife so they can make a fur coat to stay alive in the cold.

The Thousand Sons backstory has always captured me, so Ill have to say Ahriman, turning your entire legion into dust with a spell so powerful daemons run in fear is badass.

No. Most use deer skins or such. Killing a Fenris Wolf is a really hard job even for a Fully Grown Experienced Space Wolf, so to have someone who is not even halfway there do it was extraordinary.

combat squads, i know not a single unit per say, but having used them so many times in 5th, they shine, the best example i have is my 5 man Scout squad armed with nothing but shot guns, killing a Tech Marine in Close combat, without losing a single wound in the exchange, so i don't know if this compares to the SW pup, but it was unexpected to say the least, and it was this(on turn 4, mind you it was the techmarine that charged not my scouts) that broke the the other players back, all game i had been frying his list, and all he had left where two techmarines and a 10 man scout squad(everything else was dead), and he had only immobilized my lone predator, he called it game after being beat down in CC by the scouts, which in my mind was fair enough

Well,even though I'm not aware of any official GW mini,IMO Mortarion has one of the coolest backstories,lost primarch,raised on a poison world by demonic overlords,escaping said overlords to help the populace stand against them and at the very moment of what should have been his victory,have his "father" arive to upstage him,followed by "initiation" into his pops great crusade,becomes a virtule master at troop based war in any and all enviorments,only real friend is a physcotic,watches his whole legion become bloated& diesesed and finaly accends to daemonhood.

I have always loved crimson fist captain cortez. The dude was so bad ass death wouldnt touch him. Shot up, stabbed, hit with heavy weapons fire, and he laughs it off. Its ashamed they cut him from the game.

As pointed out in the OP, Wazdakka killed a titan with his BARE HANDS!

Cherubael only had to think about killing a titan to kill a titan.

I have to say that out of the first four HH books abaddon is the only 1 who came out of it with any integrity left. Garro and Loken couldn't decide whether they wanted to be ignorant whimps or heroic leaders, even Horus had a bit of that. Abaddon on the other hand seemed to pass off his hard as nails image all the way.

The model that I respesct are a team of two guardsmen...

they owned Marneus Calgar without taking any wounds at all... they then decimaded a group of termies also... I really shouldv'e done Imperial Guard

they then killed a carnifex by themselves then got killed by another Hq

in a mega battle they were the only surviviors of a megabattle with 10 baneblades and 8 stompas with gakloads of enemies coming at them

they won a game against Chaos killing 30 chaos Marines during the whole game

All hail the Spec ops of the imperial gaurd

Their names are Jacamo and John

this is what happens to them when they became sargents and paired with commisonars

Jacamo: gak theres a group of necron warriors coming in front.. oh gak the monolithh is right behind us and the flayed ones
necrons fire killing half the squad and the squad passes Moral test
Space marines drop two stern gaurd units and killed the flayed ones
Jacamo: huzzah for the emperor and shoots kills a warrior
necron turn: shoot kill the sm and assault the guard killing a third of the squad and assaults killing all remaining gaurds
Jacamo: gak wev'e got to run for our lives k commis?
Commisonar: no executes Jacamo for derlict of duty then dies

John was killed by tank shock 3 times definite overkill
