Just curious. I have always played that Dante rerolls all missed hits in close combat but it was questioned this weekend during a friendly game.

I mean, as Kaloran said, is Dante a friendly unit? Yes. Is he Within 12" of Dante? Yes.

I can see some academic arguement about how Dante can't be within 12 inches of himself because he is himself, or that you measure from the edge of his base, which creates a 'hole' in the middle that he occupies.

But, yes, he should benefit from his own Inspiring. I mean, if he can't inspire himself, he surely won't inspire any friendly Blood Angels.

What I said was that I can see some gamers trying to create an argument with some funky statements, not that those statements would be correct. There is a difference between perceiving a potential rules issue and agreeing with it.
