LRBT Sponson magnetization

What are you trying to do? Magnetise different weapons on the sponsons or magnetise the entire sponsons?

If its the entire sponsons you're talking about, then I'd recommend assembling it in total, but be careful not to clue the little hatch that sits on the side of the Russ, under where the sponson would be.

So when you want to use the sponson, pop off the hatch, then stick a few little blobs of 'blu-tack' or sticky adhesive ( I don't know what you call it in your country) in the corners and that should keep it stuck on!

Try that, its much cheaper and less hassle than drilling and gluing expensive magnets!

Re:LRBT Sponson magnetization

Yes, the entire sponson. I already have the magnets, which are quite cheap @ about 7 USD per 100. I would like a more permanent optional solution than blu tac, but I will try that until I find a more suiting answer.

LRBT Sponson magnetization

I did this for a couple of russes a few years ago.

What you want to do is put big magnets inside the body of the tank, before you glue it shut. Then, use a little plasticard rod to make a strut inside the sponson that you'll fit a thin magnet to.

If I remember, I'll try to take a picture of the inside of these sponsons when I get home and show what I mean. But, once you have that done, it's really pretty simple.
