I'm looking at running a mek stompa, so I need to custom me up some weapons...namely, a lifta-droppa...



....and everything else, as the key information I've thus far neglected to mention is Mr Stompa started life as a happy little mr potato head.


Doesn't he look so happy?

So far my ideas include making the lifta look like a giant horse shoe magnet., and the othre guns to be made of of various types of tubing.


And the grot bomb things?




firing grot bombs from his gob seems like a cool idea...but, does anyone have the size details of the FW ones? I want to try and slot 3 in side by side, so this will most likely end up being a custom jobby. As for the feet, he will be properly stomping...not shuffling.


Yeah...fine, I've ripped off the ideas from IRONDOG studios...but only because its cool

So, yeah, if anyone has some quick 'n' easy ways to make grot bombs I'd appreciate it. Or any other cool ideas to put on, for that matter.



(And I shall be using a second one with mr potato head pirate bits in the near future )

I cant really think of anyway of making a grot bomb really...unless say you took something maybe say an empty GW paint pot and model a cone nose around that, some fins...and cut into it to make room for the grot. course im not sure how much room you have to play with..but that might be a start

As for other things, the lifta droppa...I like the idea of the horseshoe magnet, not sure how to go about it though

I wish I could take credit for an original idea...but that'd be evil xD My little sister got it with a bunch of assecories at a bootsale for £2.50, and I already had plasticard etc so at the moment its considerably cheaper than the GW model

Yeah, I did think of a paint pot but its a wee bit big.

Well I'm hoping I can either get a few small ones/make a few out of plasticard and make it look like some giant magnets have been tied/bolted together lol. Just a case of finding a place that might sell them, since making little ones sounds like effort to me lol

Well, another idea I'm mulling over is having a super-gatla hidden in the gob for a nasty suprise

How about using an Estes Model Rocket? I'm sure they have some around the appropriate dimensions. If not, they do have bits you can buy to just make your own. Like the nose cones, for example.

Aye, I thought the GW ones were more 'ork shufflas'.

My idea is pretty much ripped from Irondog, but I don't recall the rokkit tutorial...so I shall be pilfering more ideas now xD

feet still WIP, and Im going to do the ork teef on the foot thing...now before I fell bad for ripping another irondog idea I had the idea before I even looked at how they did the feet lol xD

Now its just a case of filling/plasticarding gaps up to make them more mechanical and stompa-y (but I too shall keep the laces). What I've done for the legs is put 2 coke lids for hip joints, then one on each foot...now its just a case of adding piping etc to make them look....well, even moar stompy.
