				<title>Your thoughts on Sly Rambo (er Marbo)</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ So what do you think of the one man army named Sly Marbo?  For 65pts your getting a guy that can show up anywhere and on the same turn toss a Demo Charge potentially wiping out small units.  Granted he does only have a 5+ save and two wounds, but ideally shouldn't he make his points up with meltabombs and the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(349);'>DC</span>?  Maybe I'm overthinking his potential.<br /> <br /> Anybody using him?  Pitfalls when using him?  Maybe even a report of his actions in game.    ]]></description>

				<title>Your thoughts on Sly Rambo (er Marbo)</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Marbo is one of those few <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(50);'>GW</span> hits on the points value scale. <br /> <br /> He is perfectly worth his points, rarely fails to inflict unimpressive damage on the enemy but costs the same as a single <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(5);'>AC</span> infantry squad. <br /> <br /> If used properly he can be a thorn in the enemies side, but he will very rarely make a signifigant impact on winning or loosing. <br /> <br /> So, yeah hes worth the points for sure, and is lots of fun to use given his minimal cost. ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ He also has a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(14);'>BS</span> of 5 so if it does scatter it's at most going 7".  <br /> <br /> He's Behind you!:  Always starts in Reserve.  When Marbo becomes available he is placed anywhere on the battlefield that is more than 1" away from any enemy model.  <br /> <br /> Ok so since he is not deepstriking you can place him in some woods, building, or whatever.  Combined with his Stealth he has a 3+ cover save right?  If the demo charge scatters he has the cover save to protect himself.  If the enemy charges he is probably toast, but he's got 5 I5 S3 Poisoned (2+) attacks.  He's also in cover so he'll be striking first (excepting frags of course).  Even against <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(95);'>MEQ</span> he should earn his points back right?    <br /> <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Ah yes, Marbo-man (his name can be a neat play on two super-masculine American icons; the Marlboro Man and Rambo. Though Rambo is the number one source considering, but I'm allowed to create conspiracies if I want!).<br /> <br /> At 65pts he is barely worth it and has a decent chance of getting his points back and more. Given the choice between him or another outfitted Infantry Squad, it should be an easy choice, but it isn't always. considering the high likely hood of blowing himself up (2.5"R disk for a 6" range only leave 4.5" of comfort room at max distance) for an insta-kill, you are equally likely to fail his points as you are to win his points.<br /> <br /> He is vulnerable to assault, being an individual that will most likely find himself behind enemy lines without any wound suppers and his inability to join a unit (meaning he can always be picked out in Assault) are a big concern.<br /> <br /> However, that pistol of his at AP2 Sniper Pistol and 2+ wounding in close combat, that has an additional bonus. Enter the field, toss Demo-Charge, fire pistol (he's Sly Marbo, he can fire as many weapons as he wants a turn damn it!), then assault with 6 on the charge I5 attacks that wound on the 2s. That makes him a pretty nasty Terminator killer or Monstrous Creature death machine! <br /> <br /> But, you have to remember, T3, can't join other units, one of his biggest assets is also one of his biggest dangers. So I would say he is reasonably priced, as bigtmac pointed out, one of the few times <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(50);'>GW</span> has done a good job pricing a special character.<br /> <br /> Oh! But don't buy his model. It is one of the worst models in the current range, and is outrageously over priced! You can build better models with a basic Catachan squad box.]]></description>

Unlike the Calidus who makes everone roll their eyes, Rambo pops up and even my opponent is rooting for him to do something cool.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ well not sure this has been said but I'm all for him.  I was playing a game against chaos last weekend.  Guy had rhino, landraider, rhino  near each other in that order.  Zerkers + lash prince in the raider.  Popped marbo down in front of the raider threw hi sharge at the near by rhino stunning it.  Point is that the opponent didn't want to risk auto hitting melta bombs from marbo when he tank shocked.  Kept his zerkers outta combat for 1 turn thereby winning me the game as I had an extra turn of firing.  He's useful but not game breaking.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Marbo has been worth his weight in gold. 2 games, top unit in both in terms of points back.<br /> <br /> Game 1: threw his charge at an expensive <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(119);'>SM</span> unit with their bolters able to fire all sorts of rounds - sternguard. 7 <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(119);'>SM</span>'s died. Not sure how many pointas that is, but a heck of a lot more than marbo.<br /> <br /> Game 2: threw his charge at some termis, but missed. Then fired his pistol next turn, killed a termi, then in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span> that turn killed 2 more, but died in the process. Killed 150pts of termis.<br /> <br /> Not a bad return.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ The great thing about Marbo is that what makes him worth shooting at, his demo charge, is used on the turn he comes in pretty much every time.   This means that after his main threat is past, many opponents won't really be able to take the time to shoot/charge him if you're applying pressure on multiple parts of his army.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ With a 1" infiltrate range.. you can actually hide behind enemy vehicles! So awesome..<br /> <br /> He's either going to show up & demo right there & then - which is fine.<br /> <br /> Or<br /> <br /> He can show up and go all sneaky like. He is a -big- risk to 5man tactical combat squads & other small infantry units. Im not sure if his one melta/krak grenade is worth much against vehicles. As an independant character, he can elect his wounds onto other <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(67);'>IC</span>'s right? So he can run in, spew off a few 2+ wounding WS5 hits @ I5 and hope for the best (obviously at this point the demo has been used or in use)<br /> <br /> Very worthy elite choice. Just requires a bit of lateral thinking. ]]></description>

				<title>Your thoughts on Sly Rambo (er Marbo)</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Marbo has been my favorite unit in the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> codex and quite possibly one of the most fun units ever in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(50);'>GW</span> history.  There's just something incredibly fun about having Rambo appear literally anywhere on the tabletop and being able to throw a demo charge with I believe a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(14);'>BS</span> of 5 - so whatever he throws it at is going to explode and getting a  good chunk of his points back.  At the very least he can distract some of your opponent's shooting/assaulting.]]></description>

Your opponent being a sissy did. The chances of even a melta bomb destroying a land raider in a DoG are slim, and the guy you played with should not be allowed to play Khorne if he can't play like a man.]]></description>
