The 'new' Rogue Trader is a full RPG based on the Dark Heresy rules. That's them. Only read Rogue Star though, haven't got round to getting the second book. I like the fact that the book took you to the fringe of the Imperium where less then dutitful Govenors run the planets however they want. The unique type of society that the Govenor runs on the world featured in the story is a breath of freash air compared to the dark and Gothic worlds in most of the 40K fiction.

If I recall correctly Dark Heresy is Inquistorial henchman parties (demons and cults aplenty) and Rogue Trader will be space pirates..er, privateers (aliens and other pirates). And yes, Dark Heresy is all about the Inquisition, serving the Imperium, and rooting out heresy. Rogue Trader more like Conquistadors or Privateers and profit is the goal, and as you're operating outside the bounds of the Imperium the only law and order is what you bring with you. It's gonna be fun!
