1. Invisible Jet- I think she can fly, but lied about owning a jet so now she has to fly around in a sitting position.
2. Rope that makes people tell the truth- Men don't know what the truth is half the time and women are incapable of being truthful 90% of the time. Real effective item.
3. Indestructible Bracelets- Ok I'm going to aim for your face instead of your wrist.
4. Closet Lesbian- Island without men? We know you dig the chicks.

Don't they have other members who can wreck stuff? That's all MEL can really do when it comes down to it. Between the strong members who can bash stuff and the energy projectors who can vaporize stuff, you'd think they had that particular nitch covered.

Then again, I'm applying logic to a text that includes a hero named Bouncing Boy. For you non-LSH readers out there, he was a chubby kid who could blow himself up like a balloon and bounce around. He's another good candidate for this thread.

Yeah, they were really underrated. Of course, all the LSH fanboys b*tched and wanted their lily-white heroes and future back. Although my fave member from when I was a child (Sun Boy) ended up being pretty much a traitor and met a gruesome fate, IIRC. So it was pretty grimdark stuff.

I think I read Giffen's back on Doom Patrol. Which I'm cool with. His shortlived run on Doom Patrol was the best since Morrison's, although that's not saying much.

Superman -- yeah, too invincible, and pretty much a D-----. also too goody-goody in general. though there were a few episodes in Justice league in which he was pretty cool. ahh justice league...
Cyclops -- Lame not because of his character, no, but pretty much just because of his power. I mean, yes, eye beams are cool, and I would definitely want 'em, but ultimitely... THAT'S ALL HE'S GOT. also, in general he hasn't had too much emotion from the X-men episodes I've seen. (yeah, I followed the TV series' of comics far more than the comics themselves... I figure I'd just get far too irritated to do so), but it's not too big a problem for me.
Storm -- Lame for the exact opposite reasons: while Cyclops might be lame for his lack of much emotions and lame super power, Storm is lame because she has extremely powerful and useful capabilities, but in the series she OVER ACTS SO FREAKING BADLY I CRINGE AT IT.

On the inverse, I'll give you my three favourite villains as well:

Apocalypse: Freaking Awesome. He is just the end. kill all humans? hell yes. Not to mention ROBOCALYPSE.
Mr. Sinister: Coolio too. actually, I just really like him for his looks. just looks super cool. I don't even know what his powers are.

Didn't bother reading most of the spandex crowd's comics (only have the Frank Miller Dark Knights, and the brilliant Killing joke (forget by who) - and the judge dredd v batman ones).


You have the ones that count. I worked in a comic shop for a year+ and, honestly, they're such repetitive crap so much of the time.
