Their not bad, their just usually over shown by the Howling Banshees. With the mass amount of MEQ armies out there, the power weapons are gold. I enjoy them, and if you want to go with them, by all means do.

You can go with a Fire Prism as some have suggested, but I've found their not needed to field a decent Eldar army. I own one, never have used it, and have a pretty good win ratio.

There is no set way to play Eldar.
Rangers and Pathfinders don't Rend on the to-hit roll, but can get AP1 on the to-hit roll, with Rending on the to-wound roll like most sniper weapons (or the penetration roll against vehicles).

So, unlike most snipers, they can get AP1 rends which can pen up to armor 11, and glance armor 12, however, they're not super-likely to do do either.
Hmmm, it's a tough choice.
By the way thanks for that info on pathfinders. My brother has used that rule on me for ages.

Anyway. This is where you draw the line. How far are you willing to go for the sake of a theme. Never forget that a theme is extremely important to an army.
And in small battles it is REALLY tough to fit in AV13 or 14 vehichles.

Also pathfinders are all but impossible to root out of covered areas without flamers.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
Hey!
I've just had a flash of inspiration!

What if you also get a Wraithlord, yet don it up or paint it so that it looks stealthy?

Wraithlords are piloted by the spirits of dead warriors, no?
Then what is to say that that warrior spirit didn't belong to a striking scorpion?

Well, you can give a warlock conceal, but I would advise agianst it. There is no way they can go in with an 'infiltrating army' theme. Oh well, they can if you paint/model them right.

With that list you've got there it's awesome that, whether you get first turn or second turn, the enemy has no idea where you are deploying. (as you can infiltrate in your own deployment zone I would imagine)

The one weakness is that the Wraithlord would be there so they would posistion there anti-Wraithlord stuff in front of it. This could also be an advantage as you have a rough idea as to where they are going to be deploying said stuff.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
On seeing your spiritseer argument.
