So you don't get a bonus attack again.
Or you can read it as they are a single weapon with a Special ability to give +1 Attack.
No matter what way it is you wont ever get more than +1 attack

Spiders have good stats and good armor compared to any basic troops that aren't marines. Aspect warriors are likely to strike first against most enemies so they get maximal use out of the bonus attack for charging.
