				<title>My ork list hits a wall.... well an armor 14 landraider</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ My ork force gets really stomped and all dead like when some giant land raida starts blastin my boyz and nobz apart... <br /> <br /> I have 3 squads of 30 boyz stormboyz a nob squad and ghazkull thraka with a warphead...... in a battlewagon...... GReat list works everytime.... until i encounter leman russes and landraiders. I try power klawing but they drive 12" and use machine spirit to shoot. What to do.. great the computer cant do a question mark it can do a´ñ but not a question mark. Anyway y boyz got rokkit lauchers but my boyz seem horrible at shooting even for orks. Not only that the new guard codex is stomping me... period....... i need help and a new list. I really like the ghazkull thraka and warphead combo and i dont think im gona be switching that but everything else well seems to be losing its effectiveness...<br /> <br /> Note i got a waaargh every turn in a seven roung game with my warphead  <img src="/s/i/a/baf5f2e54c6b17d5c5d39aecadfa1272.gif" border="0">]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Sadly there isn't much you can do against Land Raiders. Remember, you hit the rear armor of vehicles in assault so they got like rear armor 11 or 12 so I wouldn't worry to much about them. Biker boss with a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(107);'>PK</span> might help a lot though. ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ 5 Land Raiders is very easy to do in a regular <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(119);'>SM</span> codex.<br /> <br /> 1 Land Raider for a REGULAR terminator squad.<br /> <br /> 1 Land Raider for an ASSAULT terminator squad.<br /> <br /> 3 heavy support land raiders.<br /> <br /> Easy as heck and it's in the rules that says 1 regular squad of termies and one assault termies squad can take a land raider transport per army.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Orks have a hard time with heavy armor.  The list is designed that way.  Power Klaw attacks are probably the best way to deal with them.  Remember that tankbusta bombs are <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(123);'>Str</span> 6 + <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(1);'>2d6</span> Armor Pen, which gives you a reasonable chance to get a couple penetrating hits.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Indeed, those Giant metal boxes get a free <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(14);'>bs</span> 4 shot at cruising speed. The best option there is to get a ork list and spam deff kopta's have all of them with rokkits and a few buzz saws in there and you should be able to take a fair few of them out all you have to do is scout then turbo boost 24" first turn get a cover save then shoot and assault.<br /> <br /> Have you tried using the other options in the list like the boarding plank so your guys dont have to disembark or even the grabba klaw to stop the tanks from moving and the wrecker ball which is a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(123);'>str</span> 9 hit? either that or wagons with zzap guns although i think they are rather crappy now not sure how usefu; the boom guns on the wagon or looted wagons would be but there still possibilites. Im pretty sure the deffrolla can be used against vehicles.<br /> <br /> I think a lot of lists except maybe a nid list with lots of <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(93);'>MC</span>'s would be hard pressed to disrupt that tide of giant metal boxes.<br /> <br /> Just my two cents worth]]></description>

It doesn't have to be a land raider spam.  You have to get into <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>cc</span> which is hard when you have a ton of multi lasers or Twin Lascannons (10 in the land raider spam).]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ If you like Ghazghkull Take him in a BW with a mob of boys with another <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>PC</span>.<br /> <br /> Then a squad of Nob Bikers.  <br /> <br /> then the rest of your points in Boys with trukks and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(331);'>PCs</span>.  I might also suggest a the formentioned Deffdread and kan army.  I saw a guy use it fitting in 2 big mechs one with <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(163);'>KFF</span> another with Shokk Attack gun and 2 mobs of Lootas.  Then a huge mob of reg boys a mob of shootas and bout 6 Kans and 2 Deffdreads.  Was a mean mean list.  <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(793);'>IDK</span> if thats the exsact way but I know that was all on the board and it is awsome.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Wow, orks struggle against just a single land raider let alone 5 :S I thought that land raiders still took up a heavy support slot even if you did use them as dedicated transports. What points value do you usually play with (1500, 2000)? You'd need a lot of points to run 5 land raiders. <br /> <br /> As for being able to destroy the land raiders, do Killa Kans have strength 10 Dreadnought <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(20);'>CCW</span>? They might be able to help a little though the land raiders will destroy them fairly easily :(]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ From my experience, Nobz are not a good choice to go up against Land Raiders. In the past, I've disembarked my Nobz, go kill a Land Raider, then watch Terminators fall out and crush my Nobz in the following turn. Not a good return in my opinion.<br /> <br /> Ghaz has been working. There are some tricks with him that allow him to crush a Land Raider and make your opponent think about wanting to assault him. <br /> <br /> Killa Kanz are S10 and have worked ok. <br /> <br /> The reality is the Land Raider will get far enough to be in good position to drop its payload. I've yet to figure out how to stop Land Raiders back in my opponent's deployment zone. You can rush Trukks up there to block it's path, but it can easily ram them out of the way. And if you move your trukks over 12", planks don't work. <br /> <br /> I guess my best advise against a Land Raider with a unit (Terminators specifically)  inside is to not use Nob Bikers against it. For the most part, the new Termies will stomp on Nob Bikers. <br /> <br /> Tank Hammers seem doable, but canny opponents can completely avoid them.<br /> <br /> (edited for incorrect ruling in 4th statement)<br /> <br /> ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ I carry my Tank hammers around in a battlewagon, so a land raider is going to outrun me.  I have three bomb squigs too, I release them, and get free STR8 hits on a vehicle within 18".  <br /> <br /> Honestly, my tactics against a land raider list...<br /> <br /> Deff Rollas where possible, Ghazghkull on the Waaaugh! against another land raider; with that 2+ invul save, I'm not worried about payload retaliation.  Attacking a land raider with my tank bustas would feel like a waste if I were going to lose them in a retaliatory assault, but I would certainly spend my tank bustas to multi-assault two land raiders.  ]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Deff Rollas are always a debated rule. I've played in various locations where some allow it and some don't. Case in point: Necronomicon. I asked for a ruling and the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(421);'>TO</span> advised Deff Rollas will not affect vehicles.<br /> <br /> Ghaz is working for me. I can't really complain as I'm finding some tricks with him. I did use this tactic against another Ork player beating on a Battlewagon. In the following turn, he shot Ghaz and took 2 wounds and then assaulted, killing Ghaz despite the 2+ <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(162);'>inv</span> save. Losing 2 wounds to Ork shooting was a bit surprising (and in part to unlucky dice rolls on my part).<br /> <br /> S8 Bomb Squigs aren't really anything I'm going to rely on against a Land Raider.<br /> <br /> The bummer part is that as long as the Land Raider gets to the middle of the table, it's pretty much done its job. I've got nothing that can prevent this.<br /> <br /> ]]></description>

The only infantry that scare me are an honor guard, Eldred with close combat doom, and an Archon attached to a maxed out Incubi squad.<br /> <br /> Short of that, I make short work of anything.  Ghazghkull on the Waaaugh! and on the charge can rip of pretty much anything. <img src="/s/i/a/c944477abc92c1c101da485e07ff06d8.gif" border="0"> <br /> <br /> Where land raiders become an issue is their ability to kill ork vehicles, get in the way, and take out an expensive model here and there.  I'm calling ahead to the stores in my area to get a ruling on Deff Rollas, and if they aren't allowed in 'Ard Boyz, you can bet I'll be packing grabbin' klaws.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ thanks for the help guys and sorry i wasn't on for a while i was with the chicas on the beach in costa rica.... some volunteering im doing. Anyway we play 1850.... they take like no troops so they can max out land-raiders... and i also just remembered something the wierdboy has the best antitank gun if not the most reliable in the ork codex is no the game... 30 inch strength 10 melta that auto hits.. you have to roll a 3 though but with a warp-head it shouldn't be to hard... still doesn't pop 5 land-raiders bu it helps]]></description>

				<title>Re:My ork list hits a wall.... well an armor 14 landraider</title>

It's cheesy, it's beardy, it's whatever you want to call that kind of thing. But... it's legal. I can say from the experience that while it's frustrating to go up against such a list, a more balanced opponent with perhaps "only" four Land Raiders and a lot more firepower would have hurt much more.<br /> <br /> As for how to break the wall... my only answer is to throw powerklaws at it and pray. That, and take a sharpie to my own marine codex and say "nu-uhh!! Land Raiders were nerfed in the second printing of the codex. They're now AV4 on rear armor!"  <img src="/s/i/a/baf5f2e54c6b17d5c5d39aecadfa1272.gif" border="0"> More realistically, Tank hammers and Deff Rollas (where permitted) are probably the way to do it. As to preventing the delivery of contents to midfield, we just have to accept as Orks that we can't be allowed to do EVERYTHING.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Deff Rollas are pretty much nixed against vehicles; every store I've called has ruled against them, and <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(50);'>GW</span> seems to be leaning that way. <br /> <br /> With that said this year IS GOING <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(421);'>TO</span> BE MECHANIZED.  I'm bringing tank bustas, rokkits, freakin' powerklaws, boarding planks, grabbin' klaws, more powerklaws, crab klaws, some rat klaws, and even the mutated and shriveled klaw of a crippled guy that tried giving me the finger this one time.]]></description>
