So how do we paint this paint onto them? Mix it with some paint, paint it under the actual colour or paint it over kind of like a gloss finish. I'm thinking it's painting it over the top as it dries clear.

Yeah. I reckon it'll be best applied before you put on a coat of varnish. I'll do a few tests when it arrives before i start offering to use it on comissions of course.

For the US residents, you can just take a trip down to the local Craft Store Michael's and check the craft paint area. I know they have a glow-in-the-dark paint there but I don't think they have any options for the color.

These look pretty nice, the daytime colour seems to be white so you could use them as the highlight on power weapons etc the same way you would normally use a white and then turn the lights off for an alternate effect.

I like the blues, I might try them out for my AoBr captains power sword.

the orange and red might be good for a fire effect too.

It says the are non toxic, water based, low VOC so they are probably acrylics, they might even mix with regular ones. If not a layering approach would work for blending.

Luminous paints...

Just FYI, my Grey Knights stuff use a paint coloured a day-glo version of its normal colour, I just sprayed several thin coats of it over the normally painted swords. The Canoness is a bit different, I mixed the florescent stuff with white for better coverage (and the highlights). I've thought of using Glo-tec stuff before when I was thinking of doing Gundam models with it, but I never got round to it.

SOME of my florescent paint is clear, but I think all of the clear stuff I have glows blue. I recommend just painting the clear paint over the top of your normally painted weapon, if you're going that route. It's only if you're using day-glo stuff you'd really need to mix it IMHO, unless you're going to go for several different glowing colours like the Canoness sword...

EDIT: Also, UK people: Cass-Art and various independent art shops have a brand of UV glow paint that's also tinted the normal colours simply called "Glow Paint", I have pink green and blue atm, but I have yet to try them on minis.
