The photos actually make them look alot brighter than they appear in person.

@albinoork: The bases are painted Dark Flesh, a random assortment of flock and sand that I made years ago is glued to the top. I usually cut away some of the base (at least on most of them) and greenstuff it underneath to make a small puddle or pit. I then add green ink to water effects and pour it in the pit. I also usually add a small clear bead into the pit to make it look bubbly or whatever. It is all pretty simple.

The colour scheme is pure awesome as well. Reminds me of that Nurgle army that was featured in WD ages ago. But these guys have much better balance of colour and have been painted with FAR more care and skill.

I then add a rust mixture that i made from VMC Smoke, VMC orange and some VGC Dead white to some of the areas of green and most of the areas of bultgun metal.

I add some other little rust spots of just orange paint GW or Vallejo doesn't matter.

I usualy rub the excess oranges off with my finger as I paint it on, if there is still too much, i go back and drybrush some boltgun metal very lightly.

The grays are my least favorite. I hate the way the grays look :(.

Some of the other geen items are just catachan green with camo green highlights.

I also take some Asurman blue and some devlan mud and paint it into shaded areas at random spots. That sort of helps the blend and adds alittle depth and.. splotchiness of Nurgle.

@Tinfoil B-movie is definitely the feel I'm going for. A ragtag, almost comedic, force that has risen up against the imperium. @Davetaylor: Thanks! I really enjoy your projects. This army size... um I dunno really. I have about 155 troops converted up. I have probably 10 different vehicles on standby that I don't know what to do with yet (plus the 6 sentinels).

I want to add a psychic choir, ratlings, and maybe another 150 troops... and 20 stormtroopers. The 4th interloper here is one that I had completed, but the depth of the skin was just not there. I added purple washes and a fresh highlight to help it out. Let me know what you think of the skin in particular.

The Ork in question is the first edition (Rogue Trader) plastic ork boxed set from waaaayyyyyy back in the day. It was produced roughly the same time as those old original plastic beakies marines in the tan plastic with the studded shoulderpads etc.

The squat pose that they had carried over into the plastic 2nd edition goffs that they produced but the torso had different style armour. The 2nd ed. had a quilted look to the torso armor and this 1st ed. Rogue Trader era one has horizontally ribbed armour.

Juts part of my mission to refurbish old and out of date minis into this chaos traitor force.
