				<title>Bolters, Bolt Pistols + CCW</title>
				<description><![CDATA[ Hey Dakkaites, this be my first <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(151);'>YMDC</span> post, and as a new player to <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(3);'>40k</span> it certainly wont be the last. Me and my mates played a 500p game last week (<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSM</span> + <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(69);'>IG</span> vs Orks + <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(119);'>SM</span>), and we're all fairly new at the game and we're all still learning some of the finer points of the game (hell, I was the only one with the rulebook that night).<br /> <br /> My main question comes with the issue that Chaos Space Marines are armed with a bolter, bolt pistol and a <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(20);'>CCW</span>. We understand that with Rapid Fire weapons, if you fired them in the Shooting phase then you are unable to Assault. For this reason my mate shoots with the pistol and closes in with the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(20);'>CCW</span>.<br /> <br /> However, my question is, do the Chaos Marines still retain the +1A for being equipped with pistol + <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(20);'>CCW</span> if they get assaulted? Does it matter if they had fired their bolters in the previous turn?<br /> <br /> This query occurred when my Orks charged his Chaos Marines after they had fired their bolters in his previous turn, and werent sure if the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSM</span> were able to just drop their bolters and fight with their pistols+<span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(20);'>CCW</span> for that +1A. We argued that the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSM</span> did not receive the +1A because the <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSM</span> wouldnt have had time to switch to their <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(20);'>CCW</span> after firing with their main bolters, but we still felt a lil iffy about it (particularly my <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSM</span> friend <img src="/s/i/a/6d3c0a908a3861135dfaebde91c0ecf6.gif" border="0">)<br /> <br /> So, we were just wondering what's Dakka Dakka's take on the matter.<br /> <br /> Cheers.<br /> <br /> ]]></description>

That's how you can choose not to use a powerfist and use normal attacks at normal <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(74);'>Init</span>. I would presume that you would be able to do the same with your basic <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(22);'>CSM</span>.]]></description>

The model also having another weapon (such as a bolter) doesn't affect it's number of attacks, even if it had used that weapon earlier in the game turn.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ So say i am using normal marines with 1 attack base in their profile. They are armed with Bolter, <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(20);'>CCW</span>, and Bolt Pistol. If i decide to use the bolt pistol in the shooting phase do i still get the +1 attack in <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(19);'>CC</span> with the Bolt Pistol. Making for 3 attacks on the assault. 1 base + 1 assault + 1 bolt pistol = 3?]]></description>

The only way you can avoid using the fist is if you have a power weapon, or the like, which you can use instead.]]></description>

				<description><![CDATA[ Chaos Marines have UUUUUUUBER GRIT. We always have <span class="glossaryitem" onmouseover='gp(20);'>CCW</span> and Bolt Pistol +1 attack bonus. We get to rapid fire, recieve a charge and still have 2 swings each. We also get to use our bolters, then in the next turn, fire bolt pistols and charge, getting 3 attacks (1 base, 1 for two weapons and 1 for charging). ]]></description>
