She just got into the hobby and wanted some custom work done on her carny. First, she wanted her outfitted with a venom cannon and a barbed strangler. Well anyone who has seen a tyranid weapon sprue knows that they only make the guns for the right arm and feeder tubes for left. Not only would both guns not fit on the right side together. She wanted me to make it work where both guns would be in the front holes and feeder tubes for the same arm on the same side. Not too hard. Also, since she is for a campaign army we decided to go ahead and put some trophies on her. Sorry i dont have any pre-painting pictures, my camera was with a friend. Any critique is welcome.


Here you can see how the arms are on the same side. sorry about the coloring. she's just primed and half of the first coat of red has been done.


Same for this side. Also if you look close you can see the little cadian(my army) helmet on the bayonet.


There you can see it.


Just showing how i used a scything tallon arm, cut the talon off, cut the sac off of the feeder arm and spliced them together. All the tubing work is headphone wire with greenstuff.


A cool little thing i added. She outfitted "Gwenyth" with regeneration. It has always bothered me on the modeled regeneration head why you cant find an eyeball. So, i fixed that.



This is going to be applied to her base when finished. Since i play IG it is only appropriate for my girlfriend's army to be overrun with IG trophies. The blood is going to be attributed to a Sergeant that has been ripped in half by the Carnifex.

Sergeant Joe was so badass that when the Munitorum issued him his Lasgun at the onset of the Campaign, he immediately shot the Munitorum armoury staffer in the face and demanded something cooler. The horrified aide next to him managed to stammer out "B-b-b-but s-s-sir! We haven't anything 'cooler' in our stores! W-w-we can t-t-try modifying your weapon for you, w-w-would that work?"

Joe nodded, and threw the Lasgun at the aide's face, breaking his nose and knocking out several teeth. He nodded, simply saying "One Hour. And then..." He let his words hang as he pulled out his combat knife and stabbed it into the steel countertop. Then he turned on his heel and strode off. He returned -exactly- an hour later, grabbed his Lasgun, and after realizing it didn't look any different, glared at the aide.

"We... we made it... we made it fire 'cooler'!" he whimpered.

Sergeant Joe hefted it and shot the aid in the face, ejecting, much to his suprise, a shell casing.

"A Las weapon that has unnecessary casings? COOL!" he Proclaimed. He threw 2 credits onto the faceless corpse of the aide. "For your trobles" he nodded, before striding off.

Unfortunately, Sergeant Joe watched the Blu-Ray DVD of 'Rambo: First Blood' the night before this particular battle, and, thinking he was as unstobbable as Stallone, charged a Carnifex with his 'coolified' Lasgun. The rest is quite apparent.

Yes, but you're forgetting - this is Sergeant Joe. Do you have any idea how many other people died before they decided to issue him a Lasgun in the first place? As is apparent in the story of his untimely and tragic demise, he'll do whatever he damn well pleases, and anyone that disagrees gets shot in the face. Or at least, that's what used to happen.
