Forward the Guns! Grind Them Into Dust! : Ramming Multiple Targets

Not really covered in the main rule book. What if two targets are rammed at precisely the same time. Are they resolves simultaneously and what if one fails and the other does not?

Situation :

Good ol' Hellhound rolls of at max speed (no +6 for road speed) and slams two Traitor Guard Scout Sentinels at precisely the same angle and at the same time. Precision calibrated measuring devices were utilized, computer simulators were consulted, lots of measurement and science was applied; the two sentinels are impacted by the same vehicle at precisely the same time by the same vehicle, the Hellhound was equal distant from two Scout Sentinels.

Forward the Guns! Grind Them Into Dust! : Ramming Multiple Targets

Each sentinel takes one hit; the HellHound takes two, and I would rule that they are all calculated at the same time. I'm not sure what you consider a 'failed ram' however I do not see any conflict in the rules if one rammed vehicle is removed and the other is not: The ramming vehicle would stop there as if it were ramming a single vehicle.

Forward the Guns! Grind Them Into Dust! : Ramming Multiple Targets

There was some confusion over if one Sentinel is rammed, then the Hellhound continues onward to ram the second Sentinel at 0 inches of ramming speed. So if one Sentinel failed to be destroyed, then the other Sentinel would not be rammed at all. We could not find out from the book where it speaks of two vehicles being rammed by one vehicle at the exact same moment.

Forward the Guns! Grind Them Into Dust! : Ramming Multiple Targets

common sense dude, ya hit em both, simultaneously, although RAW thechnically states you hit one, then can hit the other, sort of assuming one it minisculy further away, I'd say they're hit simultaneously, but I'd also say, physically move the hound untill it touches one or the other, if it touches one but NOT the other, do em one at a time

Forward the Guns! Grind Them Into Dust! : Ramming Multiple Targets

As I stated initially, the two are EXACTLY at the same point, Kyley, and the rules ONLY talk about hitting targets in a chain. So if one fails to be destroyed, then the other is left unaffected, even though they are at being struck simultaneously. There was also confusion about measuring distance.

Example : Scout Sentinel 'A' is 12inches from the Hellhound and Scout Sentinel 'B' is 15inches away. Hellhound rams into SSA for a Strength X attack (I do not have my rulebook with me, so I believe it would be S7; 4 for distance, 1 for being a tank, 2 for AV12). Hellhound crushes the Scout Sentinel and moves on to SSB. The distance is now only 3inches. Is that the distance used for damage? Or is the whole distance used?

Forward the Guns! Grind Them Into Dust! : Ramming Multiple Targets

The next target hit will be at the same or better movement modifier because the Speed modifier on pg 69 says at +1 for each full 3" moved that turn by the rammer before impact.

This makes sense in the context of the other rule, that if you explode a vehicle you're not allowed to stop as you're going too fast. If you're going too fast to stop after the first ram you're too fast to lose that momentum right away!
