He then proceeded to inform everyone of the direction he planned to take with our IT and gave special mention that he planned to upgrade all firewalls in every computer to reduce the risk of fires inside the machines.

Both him and the Management looked quite confused when the entire IT staff burst into laughter. A customer called me over to the accessories(cables, etc and is on the other side of one of the glass cases.) and was asking me questions. The HR person was shopping with her family and saw that I wasn't in my little square and called over the intercom for two other workers to come back there. I told her on my little walkie talkie that I was with a customer and in the accessory aisle. I was ignored over the walkie.

So when I was done I got yelled at for not being where I was supposed to be even though I was trying to help an elderly man pick out a gift for his grandson who loved his 360.

Well, long story short, the owner was told [who was extremely pissed] that I had done it. So, I decided to take the next couple of days off, unapproved of course. I would have paid money to see her face that Saturday when the store didn't open.

I was one of 2 people who opened up on the weekends and the other had worked closing shifts from Mon-Fri. Thankfully, justice was served. The manager was fired. I currently work for a HR professional in the maintenance division of a major US telecommunications provider. they have been in position for 4 years.

Today I have explained twice that a T1 (carries 24 voice lines) needs to have its T3 (carries 28 T1) fixed before their friends DSL (rides a voice line. PM for technology clarification if you must) can be up.
