im gonna spray over my space wolf tactical squad and paint 10 of these guys i think. Though i don't went them all to look the same so i might put the green in different places and give them different markings and whatnot. I like the idea that they're a ragtag bunch of forgotten space marines, and i don't care how much fluff i break in the process

Pretty good for tabletop standard. Generally not fond of camo schemes, since it is very hard to do a realistic representation at this scale. Not sure I get what's going on with the shins, though. As promised here are the pics:

I think he turned out OK, but not as good as the other marine, im not very good with doing faces.

I wanted to give him a more battle-worn look so i did a light dry brush of bolt-gun metal to make it look like the paint had eroded away a little bit. And as i can't do faces so good i added a few little green camo strikes and some cuts and nicks.

Also, i added the red to make him stand out a little bit from the rest of the marines, this is in charge

What you should do first to him is apply a weak wash so that it sinks into the recesses without affecting the rest of the model. (i make my own washes. A bit of black, water n a little bit of varnish so that the wash settles better

i'd redo the red on the gun and other parts you've painting red, or perhaps use the colour wheel to choose a colour that is more matched with the dark green.

I'd would use either a purple, lighter green or a few different shades of brown.

After neatning everything up you can then work on the battle damage.

so chips in the armour get a old frayed brush to dab black areas on the armour, then fill in the middle of the dabs a little with the black. Then dab in the same manner, boltgun metal, then highlight that with chainmail.

Use the same process with scratches and chips using a thin detail brush.

If you want a little rust. just water down some Fiery Orange and apply it to the edges.

As for the face. Drybrushing is the easiest way to go.

Now the basecoat affects the overall look and feel of the flesh. I usually use red, but sometimes brown.

Start with a red, then slowly bring up the highlights on it by adding a little bit of Bleached Bone each time to the flesh mix.

Pick a colour for the hair and start with a base colour, then just a lil Bleached bone to that n highlight. Done all but the eyes.

Eyes aren't my strong suit because i haven't had to do human eyes as much through out the past 7 years. You can read turtorials on eyes in the dakka dakka articles section
